Elsewhere at the company,

Antonio is in the IT office, sitting at his desk, when a team of officers, enters. The three other staff present are scared. What has happened, could they have been traced, during one of their hacking escapades? One of the officers says that they are looking for someone called Antonio Miguel Diaz. Antonio takes a deep breath and says that's him. The police tell him that he should come with them. Antonio says that they should have an arrest warrant before they take him into custody.

One of the officers says that he is not under arrest. Antonio looks visibly relieved. He then asks him what they want him for. Another officer says that all they will say is that he is being requested to assist with a case. He adds that they can't divulge more because it is a sensitive case. Antonio thinks about then says that he will go. He says to himself that it probably has to do with Emma's murder or Gabriela's father's accident.

Sometime later,

Hernan, Gabriela, Adrianna, and Martin are in the cafeteria, waiting for the commotion to die down. Gabriela says that she hopes, that, whatever evidence the police might have can finally bring down, Helena and Carlos. Just then, Aranza comes and joins them. Hernan looks at his sister and asks her what's up with her. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head. She asks if they know about Antonio. Gabriela worriedly asks Aranza what happened. She says that Antonio went with the police. 

Adrianna asks if they arrested him. Aranza says they didn't. Adrianna says that it probably has to do with the investigation on what happened to their (Hernan, Gabriela, and Aranza) father. Gabriela says that like them, Antonio was a child at the time and there was no way he would be involved or be a witness because he was too young. She asks herself what if it has something to do with some hacking, he did. Martin puts an arm around Gabriela and tells her that they will find out the truth soon. 

Just then, Gabriela's phone beeps. She picks it. It is a message from Antonio. She reads it. Hernan asks her who it is. Gabriela says that it is Antonio. Adrianna asks her what he said. Gabriela says that he wanted her to know that he is fine and asked her not to worry too much. She adds that he also says that there is a small legal formality concerning what happened that day and that's why he is needed there but he will explain everything later.

Sometime later,

At Juan Patricio and Claudia's house,

Antonio has arrived with the police and they are in his grandparent's bedroom. Antonio sighs and waits patiently. He says to himself that maybe finally, his grandmother can come back home because he misses her. He adds that he also wants to confirm that she is safe. Antonio and the officers go to his grandmother's shoe closet.

One of them climbs a high chair and pulls aside, a picture of Antonio and his grandmother. Just like she said, there was a secret compartment. He opens it and finds the red envelope. He then checks to see if there is anything else inside. After finding nothing else, he comes down. Antonio sighs again. There it was, the physical manifestation of a nightmare come true. He wonders to himself how he would tell Adrianna that her parents were murdered.

Meanwhile,

Juan Patricio had arrived at the police station with his lawyer. Isabella, Horacio, and Alejandro's lawyer had also arrived. All this time, Helena and Carlos had been kept separately and were being monitored. The idea was to prevent them from posing a danger to anyone or to have an opportunity to cook up lies. Soon enough, they began giving their statements. The process takes place in three different offices with three different teams of officers (made up of two officers each) in charge.

Some hours later,

At a house near where Martin lives,

Adrianna takes a deep breath and says that Antonio has a lot of explaining to do. She then knocks on the door. Antonio (who had arrived there sometime before Adrianna) goes and opens the door. He hugs her and asks her to come in. Adrianna looks around the small house and asks who it belongs to. Antonio says that it belongs to a friend of his. He then asks her to follow him.

They go and sit in the modestly furnished sitting room. Once they have sat down, Adrianna asks Antonio where the owner of the house is. Antonio says that he paid him to go and sleep in a hotel for the night, so they could talk. Adrianna is surprised. Antonio says that they will each go to their houses but he didn't want his friend coming back at night. Adrianna asks him what's going on. She adds that everything that had happened that day including him renting out his friend's house, so they could talk was weird.

Antonio looks at her but remains quiet. How does he even begin? Adrianna moves closer to him. She again asks him what's going on. Antonio takes a deep breath and sighs. He says that he doesn't know where to begin. Adrianna thinks about it and says that he can begin by telling her why he went with the police. Antonio sighs and then says that the police had a search warrant for his grandparent's house and him being there was maybe a legal formality or to keep watch of him during his father and, Helena's interrogations.

Adrianna asks him if he also gave a statement. Antonio says that he did. Adrianna asks him what the police were looking for. Antonio puts both of her hands into his and looks at her. Calling him Toni, she looks at him worriedly and asks what's going on. Antonio says that the police were looking for her parent's death certificates and the report on their car. Adrianna is shocked.

Elsewhere, at Martin's house,

Marianna enters the sitting room and finds Martin reading a newspaper. His phone which is near him rings. He looks at it, frowns, and ignores it. She goes to one of the chairs and picks up her charger which she had left. She then turns to leave but Martin calls her. She closes her eyes for a second then turns to face him. Since their kiss at the hospital, things between them had changed. The air was thick with sexual tension. Martin had promised to give her a few days to think things over.

He says that she doesn't have to avoid him despite him agreeing to give her some space. Marianna says that she wasn't avoiding him. She adds just she had some folding to do. Martin gives her a disbelieving look. Marianna frowns and says that she doesn't care whether he believes her or not. Martin stands and moves closer to her. She moves back a little bit but doesn't try to run. Before either of them can do anything, his phone rings.

Martin turns and looks at it for a second. He then turns back to Marianna. She tells him that he should answer because the person must be eager to talk to him. He smiles, puts his arms around her, and then asks her if she is jealous. Marianna glares at him and says he is irritating and she couldn't care less what he does. Martin releases her and says that it was Gabriela. Marianna says maybe it's an emergency or something, so he should answer.

Martin shrugs and says that it had been a long day at work. Marianna asks him what happened. Martin sighs and says that Carlos and Helena were taken away for questioning. He then says Antonio went as well, but no one knows why he went yet. Marianna asks him if Helena and Carlos were still at the station. Martin says that he isn't sure, but most likely they posted bail. She then asks about Antonio. Martin says that Antonio told Gabriela that he was fine, and that he wasn't being detained and that he would tell her everything face to face. He then adds that was earlier.

Elsewhere,

At Hernan and Adrianna's house,

Hernan gets the house keys from his pocket and opens the door. He then enters. He is on his way to the kitchen for a glass of water when he sees Aranza watching TV. His sister, smiles at him sweetly, with a face just as mischievous as his own. Hernan folds his hands and asks her where Adrianna is and what she is doing there. Aranza says that she was there to take care of Gisela. Hernan frowns at his sister and asks her where Adrianna is. Aranza admits that she doesn't know.

She says that Adrianna just asked her to watch Gisela and said that she had something to do. Hernan runs a hand through his hair. Could this day get any weirder? Hernan gets his phone out and calls Adrianna. It goes straight to voicemail. He calls again and it still goes to voicemail. Hernan asks himself what could be so important as to make Adrianna not be able to pick up her phone.

Aranza says that maybe what Adrianna had to go and deal with has something to do with what happened earlier that day. Hernan says that Adrianna isn't connected to any of what happened. He adds that Antonio maybe had some information or was working on something but he doesn't see what Adrianna has to do with it.

Aranza asks him if she thinks that they are together. Hernan says that he isn't sure. Aranza says that she wouldn't be surprised. She adds that as children, Adrianna and Antonio always had each other's back and when one had an issue, the other always had their back. Hernan says that maybe something big happened and whatever was revealed earlier was pretty bad.

Back with Adrianna and Antonio,

Adrianna asks why Juan Patricio would have her parent's death certificates and the report on their car. Antonio admits that part is still unclear. He adds that what he does know, is that some time ago, his grandmother found the documents in his grandfather's office, and on the day of her accident, she was going to tell him about the issue. Antonio then continues and says, he continued to visit his grandmother and on one particular day, she told him about the envelope and her doubts.

He adds that she said that the crash was not an accident because no matter, how much her driver tried to move aside, the other person was clearly bent on hurting them. Antonio continues and says that she made him promise to do something but just as they were discussing his grandfather came and he had to unlock the door. Antonio continues and says that his grandfather asked him what he was doing and he came up with a story about him talking to his grandmother even though he knew she couldn't respond to remind her that despite everything that had happened between them, he loved her. 

He then adds that his grandfather wasn't very convinced and made a veiled threat against Gabriela and Ricardo. Antonio goes on and says that his hands were tied and he couldn't do much since he was certain his grandfather had him followed. Adrianna takes a deep breath and asks Antonio if there is anything else he knows. Antonio says that he only knows that the signature on the car report was forged. Adrianna clasps her hand together.

Back at Martin's house,

Marianna asks him if Gabriela has called Antonio. Martin says that she did and he told her that there was something that he had to do but he wouldn't tell her what. Marianna asks herself if it has anything to do with the case about Adrianna's parents. Martin calls her and she comes back to the present. He asks her what she was thinking about. Marianna says that it wasn't anything of importance. Martin has a feeling that something is going on. He tells himself that she knows more about why Carlos and Helena were detained than she is letting on. Could she be involved in anything fishy?

Marianna frowns at Martin and asks him why he is looking at her. Martin tells her that he knows that she knows more about what happened earlier. Marianna is caught off-guard by Martin's bluntness. He notes her reaction. He then runs a few fingers down her right cheek. Marianna looks at him. He asks her if she is involved in anything fishy. Marianna says that she isn't. He asks her why then she won't tell him what happened. Marianna says that it's a sensitive matter and it's not her place to reveal it. Martin asks her how she knows what happened. Marianna says that it’s a long story but soon enough, he will know.

Elsewhere,

At Antonio and Gabriela's house,

Gabriela is in Antonio's study. She looks at her phone and then frowns. She asks herself why Antonio won't tell her what is really happening. Her phone rings and she looks at it, hoping it's Antonio. She frowns when she sees who it is. She says that it is just her brother. She, however, picks it up. He asks her if she has heard something from Antonio. Gabriela says she hasn't. Hernan says that whatever has happened that day must have been important if Antonio asked to see Adrianna.

Gabriela asks her brother, what he means. Hernan says that it's likely they are together and if Antonio is helping with the investigation in one way or another, he must have asked for Adrianna's help. He adds that Aranza says that Adrianna asked her to take care of Gisela and said she had errands to run. Gabriela asks where their sister is. Hernan says that she's with Gisela as she sleeps or she might be eavesdropping on him. He adds that with their little sister, anything is possible. Despite everything going on, Gabriela smiles.

Back with Adrianna and Antonio,

Antonio asks Adrianna if he should continue. She wipes away some tears and says that it’s not a problem. He looks at her skeptically. She says that it's better to get everything over and done with. Antonio takes a deep breath and says that the investigations revealed that the person who usually signed the reports at the time was away. Adrianna says so someone forged the signature. Antonio says that wasn't the worst part. He adds that there were so many glaring errors, it is shocking no one noticed. Adrianna asked him what else happened. Antonio says that her parents died on the spot, after the car accident but the date on the report and that of the death certificate, don't match. He also says that the date on the death certificate was before her parents died.

Adrianna runs a hand through her hair and asks Antonio what it all means. He says that it is highly likely, that her parent's deaths were pre-arranged. The tears that were threatening to fall, finally fall. Antonio lets her lay her head on his shoulder as he comforts her. Softly, she calls him Toni and asks him why his father, grandfather, and Helena would do that to her.

Antonio says that he isn't sure, but probably to use her as a pawn to emotionally manipulate Gabriel and get his wealth. After some seconds Adrianna moves away from Antonio. She says that she wants justice for her parents. Antonio says that he will help her, but they have to take one thing at a time and she has first to mourn and absorb what they have just learned.
