Two days later on Friday,

The day starts like any other typical day at Montes De Alba Inc. Gina is at her desk busy working on her report. She can hear slight murmurs and turns to look around. People are staring at her. Some people are not doing a very good job of disguising it. She asks herself what is happening. She adds that she needs to talk to Martin because her cousin always knows everything that happens in the office.

 

Elsewhere at Montes De Alba Inc.,

Antonio is in the men's room. He runs a hand through his hair. He can't believe what he just read. It is more shocking than his grandmother telling him that she knew that Isabella was going to drug him. He says to himself that he can't believe what a fast one, Gina pulled on him. He says that he now understands her resistance to talk about her past especially her never wanting to mention her father. He adds that it’s hard to accept that she is Gabriela and that she has been lying to him. Antonio remembers the day that he went to convince Gina not to marry Horacio and to continue fighting for their love.

 

Gina had said that there was not much that she could do to fight both his grandparents and Horacio. Antonio then says that there was something she could have done. He adds that if she and her brother told the truth and said who they were, they could have regained their places and prevented the suffering that they all went through, after marrying the evil four. He says that he has to talk to her because she has a lot of explaining to do. Antonio says that it is at times like this that he needs his grandmother's wisdom most. He says that it is painful to accept that Gina's revenge was a bigger priority than fighting for their love.

 

Elsewhere,

Adrianna is in the ladies room. She wipes a few lone tears from her eyes. She can't believe that Hector never told her the truth. She says that it pains her that after everything they have been through over the years, Hector didn't trust her enough to tell her who he and his sister really were. She wonders out aloud if he ever really loved her or he was using her as a pawn to get revenge on Helena.

 

She folds her hands then says that Hector was more interested in recovering his father's company than in her. She remembers some of the moments they shared, his warm smile, and how earlier on, he insisted on taking her out, even when she was hesitant because Alejandro was obsessed with her. Adrianna says that she has been living a lie. She says that she doesn't understand, why he would let them all suffer so much if he could have ended everything by telling the truth.

 

Elsewhere,

Aranza is in her car. She sits quietly and lets it all sink in. She cannot believe that Hector and Gina are her older siblings. She says that a lot of things now make sense, like their secrecy, and reluctance to talk about their past. She says that she also understands why she is a bit like both of them. She says that she just doesn't understand why they would have to come up with such an elaborate scheme and lie. She says if she is feeling that confused, she can only imagine how Adrianna and Antonio are feeling. She then picks up a file she had left in the car, gets out, and locks it.

 

Meanwhile in Carlos' office,

Helena and Carlos are having a crisis meeting- of sorts. Helena is pacing around. Carlos tells her to relax because they need all their wits about them to deal with the situation. Helena glares at him. She asks him how he expects her to stay calm when Gabriel's children are back to take everything. She adds that those pesky twins have been around for the past few years, plotting to take everything. Carlos insists that she relaxes and says that there is a possibility that somebody played a bad joke. Helena rolls her eyes and says that even he doesn't believe that the report is a bad joke.

 

She adds that the story is accompanied by supporting evidence and that the investigator who did the report is professional judging from the quality of his work. Carlos says that none of it matters. He adds that they have come too far, to lose everything they have worked so hard for. Helena says that she feared this day was coming. She adds that a lot of things that she ignored, now seem glaring. Carlos asks her what she means. She says something that might have seemed like a coincidence like Hector and Gina starting with the same letters as the twin's names or the way they looked at her like they knew and hated her.

 

Carlos paces around and then says that something else also makes sense. Helena asks him what he means. Carlos says that those strange birthday cards she received during her birthdays now make sense. He adds that Gina (calls her Gabriela) is a very good graphic designer, while her brother probably took care of the logistics of sending the emails anonymously. Helena frowns. She says that those bratty twins declared war and they will get it.

 

Elsewhere in the city,

The story of the missing Montes De Alba twins finally being found has caused the newspaper that carried it to sell out in record time. The story was also the number one trending topic online.

 

Elsewhere at Montes De Alba Inc.,

Martin runs one hand through his hair then frowns. He is in the hallways. He then says to himself so that was the bombshell Isabella, Alejandro and Horacio were planning to unleash. He says that he should look for Hector and Gina, then call his mother and from there they can figure out what to do. He adds that things are about to get complicated.

 

Elsewhere at the office,

Gina and Hector have met at a corner of the parking lot. When Hector sees his sister looking scared he hugs her. She says that she knew that moment would come, and it was the end game, but she didn't want it to be in such a scandalous manner. Hector says that he understands her. He says that something so personal and sensitive should have been handled differently. Gina starts to cry and says that Isabella and her friends will never stop hurting them. Hector says that sadly those evil people won't, but they have each other and the people who love them. Gina says that she is afraid of the tough conversation she is going to have with Antonio. Hector says that he too feels the same way about talking to Adrianna. He adds that there is Aranza as well.

 

Gina says that with Aranza there is so much more to say. She adds that their already complicated lives are about to get worse. She then starts to pace around. Hector takes both of her hands into his and she looks at him. He reminds her that just like with everything else they have gone through they will handle the fallout together. He adds that as always, the only constant thing in her life is him, her smarter wiser, older brother. Gina smiles. She says that only he can tease her during such a crisis. Hector shrugs and says that she is a sour lemon and so he has to have humor for both of them. Gina frowns at him and pinches his ears.

 

Meanwhile, at Armando and Luisa's house,

Clara is there as she often is, to visit her infant granddaughter, Rosa Milagros. The child is bubbly and full of life. Today, not even Rosa's spirit can lift the mood both Clara and Luisa are in. They are both very worried about the twins. Clara says that it is sad how some people can relish revealing such personal and sensitive matters about people in such a public manner. Luisa agrees. She says that there's so much the twins have to think about, like their father, and how to tell their sister about him. Clara says that they will continue to be there for them.

 

Back at the basement parking of Montes De Alba Inc.,

Gina says that she was also thinking if they should call the rest of the family to tell them what has happened. Hector says that is unnecessary. He adds that their story is all over the media, and the whole family will have known by now whether it is through the media or by somebody telling them. Gina asks him about their father. Hector says that Aunt Anna (as they call Anna Patricia) will take care of that. Gina is unsure. Hector says that Aunt Anna is smart and will know what to do.

 

Meanwhile in Marianna's hospital room,

She is much better and picks up a newspaper that a nurse had left a short while ago. She says that she will quickly go through it before the nurse comes back for it. She unfolds the newspaper and stares at it wide-eyed. There is a picture of Hector and Gina on one side, and a young boy and girl on the other. She reads the headline of the day's top story. The headline reads: OUR OWN HANSEL AND GRETEL REVEALED.

 

She then looks at the side-by-side pictures of Hector and Gina and the children shocked. She wonders out loud why the two of them would be compared to the two fairy-tale characters. She then reads the caption under the pictures. It says that: Decades after the Montes De Alba twins disappeared roughly two years after their father died, their identities have been revealed, ending a decades-old mystery. Marianna holds a hand to her mouth. She cannot believe what she has just read. She says to herself that it is shocking. She says that she has to read the whole article.

 

Meanwhile at the mental hospital,

Gabriel is out in the garden when his phone rings. He picks it up. It's Anna Patricia. As always, he is happy to hear from her. He can, however, detect her serious tone. He asks her what is wrong. She pauses, then says that the people who were carrying out a secret investigation on the twins, published the report and the whole issue is out in the public and has blown over, turning into a media spectacle. Gabriel runs his hands through his hair.

 

He asks her if she knows how his children are. She adds that Martin told her that they are still at the office and it is chaos. She adds that she is sure that Helena and Carlos won't lose that opportunity and will find a way to scare or intimidate them. He says that they have to talk with the children. Anna Patricia reminds him that that the secret has just come out, so people will be following them. She adds that no one knows yet that he is alive. He says with all the circus around them, it will be hard, but they have to find a way.

 

Elsewhere, at the clubhouse,

Claudia is there with some of her friends. Like with many other people, the conversation turns to the topic of the Montes De Alba twins. One of Claudia's friends says that it is very interesting that the townie turned out to be a lost heiress. Claudia says to herself that her main concern right now is how Antonio is taking this news. Out loud Claudia says that it is shocking. One of Claudia's friends says that she can understand what the twins did. She says that they lost everything they had. There is then an awkward silence as the rest of the ladies remember that Carlos is Claudia's son.

 

After a few awkward seconds, someone says that there is also the possibility that Hernan and Gabriela might have used Adrianna and Antonio as part of their revenge plan. Claudia's face turns pale and she says to herself that she hopes that isn't true because if Gabriela messed with Antonio, she will have crossed the line, and there will be hell to pay. She then continues and asks herself if it could be possible that Carlos and Juan Patricio had something to do with Gabriel's death as some people, the twins included believe. She adds to herself that it would be too painful to find that out.

 

Back at Montes De Alba Inc.,

Hector squeezes his sister's hands after they pass the desk of Carlos' secretary. It feels like they are heading into the lion's den. Gina takes a deep breath as she opens the door. Carlos is sitting at the head of the table, and Helena is by his side. None of them offers either Hector or Gina a greeting. The tension in the room is so thick it can't be cut with a knife. With calmness he doesn't have, Hector asks his sister to sit down first then he sits. If looks could kill both Hector and Gina would be dead from the looks Helena and Carlos were giving them.

 

Carlos is the first one to speak and break the icy tension. He says that hiding for years and then coming back undercover and getting into the company is genius, but they won't get anywhere with it. Helena says that they even pretended to love Adrianna and Antonio and had children with them. Gina (Gabriela) looks from Carlos to Helena. She then tells them that she and her brother's personal lives are none of their business and that those are matters they will discuss with Antonio and Adrianna. Hector says that there is no need for pretense and so they should get straight to the point. He adds that he and his sister are there to regain their rightful place. Helena narrows her eyes at him.

 

Elsewhere at the company,

Antonio and Adrianna are in one of the meeting rooms. They hug each other. Adrianna then wipes a stray tear from her eye. She says that she doesn't understand why Hector and Gina would have to lie so much. She then through tears adds that she doesn't even know what to call them. Antonio hugs her. It pains him to see Adrianna cry. She is like his little sister that he wants to always protect. Antonio says that only Gina and Hector know why they did what they did. Adrianna says that she is a little anxious about talking to Hector about this discovery. Antonio says that he too doesn't look forward to talking to Gina about it.

 

Back in Carlos office,

Carlos says that the company now belongs to them, and they will never let them (Hector and Gina) have it again. Helena says that they have worked too hard to let it go just like that. Gina says that she can imagine all the threats, murders and bribes, they have committed. Helena narrows her eyes at her and says that she has grown into a sarcastic nobody. Carlos starts to talk but Hector stops him and says that since the truth is out, there is no need to go around in circles. He adds that as he said, he and his sister are back to gain back their true identities. Carlos says that if it is war they want, that is exactly what they will get. Hector says that they are no longer the scared eight-year-olds they once were. He adds that they will have a meeting with the board and shareholders as soon as they get back their legal identities. Helena shouts at the twins and tells them that the company is hers.

 

She adds that they should go back to whatever small town they grew up in because, she won't give them back the company, and she will make their lives a living hell. Gina then tells Helena to relax, with fake concern because insanity can make her lose the company. She then coolly asks her if she will try to kill them again. Carlos goes to try and hit Gina but Hector is quick on his feet. He punches Carlos. He then tells him that if he ever even as much as thinks of laying a hand on Gabriela, he will beat him up. Carlos says that just because their little secret has come out, they think highly of themselves. Hector says that it has nothing to do with that. He adds that Gaby is his sister, and he will always protect her.
