Meanwhile at the hospital,

Marianna is in her room. She says that she has made up her mind. She says that as much as she could get herself into trouble, she can no longer keep quiet. She adds that she has to make amends for her daughter's sake. She then stretches and takes her phone which was near her and calls Hector. Hector is at his desk when he sees her call. He is surprised but picks it up anyway.

He asks her if she is fine. She says she is. She takes a deep breath and says that she is ready to give her statement. Hector is surprised. Yes, he did hope that she would, but he didn't expect it to happen so fast. She asks him to arrange for one of the investigators to come to the hospital to take her statement. Hector says that he will. He then asks her if she is sure that she is well enough to give her statement. Marianna says that she is.

Elsewhere at the other end of the hospital,

Anna Patricia notices that Dianna is very quiet. She asks her about it. Dianna asks Anna Patricia if her mother loves her. Anna Patricia is surprised at the question. She touches Dianna's forehead then tells her that she does. Dianna asks her then why did she exchange her with another child. Anna Patricia tells Dianna that her mother made mistakes, but she is sorry and does love her.

She adds that she gave her to her mommy Adrianna who has treated her very well and loves her very much. Anna Patricia says to herself that for somebody so young, Dianna is such a smart and perceptive child. Anna Patricia adds that she is a special child and that's why she has two mothers, who both love her. Dianna relaxes a bit.

The rest of the day passes and later at the end of the day,

Gina is with Antonio and the boys in the dining room. Antonio carries Hannibal (the real one) while Gina carries the real Ricardo. Ricardo asks Gina if she is his real mother. Both Antonio and Gina are shocked. Where did the question come from? Antonio asks Ricardo where that question came from. Ricardo says that some of the older children say that his real mother left him with her (Gina) when he was young. Gina doesn't know how to answer the question and looks at Antonio for guidance. Antonio calls Ricardo to sit by his side.

After Ricardo does, Antonio looks at both boys and says that when they were younger, they were switched from their beds by mistake. Gina looks at Antonio and glares at him. Antonio smiles at her then looks back at the boys. He continues and says that when they were switched, they started using each other's names. He then indicates to Ricardo (the real one) that he is Ricardo and to Hannibal (the real one) that he is Hannibal. He then tells Ricardo that they love him and he can stay with them.

Sometime later, at Adrianna and Hector's house,

Hector asks Adrianna what she is doing by introducing Dianna to Marianna. Adrianna says that she thinks that as compared to the others, Marianna can be saved. She adds that they can help her to change her life around, and be a better person. Hector asks her if that has been her plan from the beginning. Adrianna admits it has. Hector says that whatever she is doing, it is working. Adrianna asks him what he means. Hector tells her that Marianna called him and said that she wanted to give her statement to the police.

Adrianna is happy. She says that finally, they can get closer to getting justice for Emma and themselves. Hector says that he hopes so too. Adrianna then looks at him and asks him if there is something else going on. Hector says that he is fine. Adrianna says that she was asking because she noticed that he has been on edge for the past two days. Hector insists that it’s nothing. She asks him if he is relapsing because of the injuries he received earlier. Hector assures her that it's not that. He adds that he is just a little tired.

Back at Antonio and Gina's house,

Gina asks Antonio why he told the children the truth. Antonio says that the mess that they are involved in, is already attracting a lot of attention and someone older who understands what is going on more would have told the children every single detail, and Ricardo would have been more traumatized. Gina sighs, she says that she doesn't know if they are doing the right thing and are handling the situation with the children well. Antonio holds her hands and says that she is a great mother, and Ricardo won't feel that his birth mother has never loved him.

Gina then turns and runs a hand through her hair. Antonio puts his hands around her and asks her what is wrong. Gina says to herself that the bomb is about to explode. She adds (still to herself) that she is sure that by now, the investigator, has arrived back in the city, or if he hasn't he will arrive the next day, and soon after her and her brother's lies will be uncovered. She then untangles herself from Antonio. She says that she was thinking about their son. She adds that he still isn't used to her enough and that hurts her. Antonio holds one of her hands and tells her, that he will be by her side, and he will help her get closer to their child. He then hugs her.

Elsewhere at Alejandro's house,

He is in his study with Isabella and Horacio. They are discussing what to do with the information they have about Hector and Gina. Alejandro suggests that they divide themselves and tell Carlos or Helena, Adrianna, and Antonio. He adds that Adrianna and Antonio will be hurt, and Carlos and Helena will destroy Hector and Gina for them. Horacio says that he thinks that it will be better to break everything through the media. Isabella asks him why he thinks so.

Horacio says that since there is no way they can do a DNA test without putting themselves into more trouble, they should make the story go viral. He adds that putting things out there will cause a media, storm and disorient Hector and Gina. He adds that they will be forced to confront the issue and do a test to confirm who they really are. Isabella says that it is a good idea, and it will be fun. Alejandro asks her what will happen to their other plans if Hector and Gina really are the Montes De Alba twins.

Isabella says that things will change and become more interesting. 

She adds that now he (Horacio) and Marianna have more reason to remain with those twins because they are rich. Alejandro reminds her that they cannot really trust Marianna, especially now with Hector and Martin always in her room on shifts. Isabella sighs, Marianna has become a disappointment. Alejandro asks how they are going to break the story. Horacio tells him that won't be a problem because he knows someone and he can arrange something.

Days pass, during which, Dianna is released, Marianna makes her statement, and Alejandro, Horacio, and Isabella are questioned again. Also, Marianna is removed from the high dependency unit to a regular room.

On Tuesday,

Adrianna, Gina, and Aranza are in the cafeteria during lunch hour. Aranza says that it's so frustrating, that they cannot do much to nail Alejandro and his friends, even after Marianna decided to talk. Gina tells her that it's only a matter of time. Aranza says that Alejandro, Isabella, and Horacio still insist that they are innocent and have denied everything Marianna said. Adrianna adds that unless one of the people they hired talks, or they find some kind of evidence or connection to link them to the crimes, they will not get justice.

Aranza then asks Gina what will happen to Marianna now that she has given her statement. Gina says that she probably reached a plea bargain with the investigators, and she will get some kind of reprieve on her sentence. She adds that if Marianna is found not guilty of murder, she can get a pretty light sentence. Aranza then asks Adrianna what she hopes will happen concerning Dianna, as Marianna is becoming a better person. Adrianna says that she would like Dianna to know that Marianna is her mother and have as normal a relationship with her as possible. Gina says that Dianna is lucky at least Marianna is repentant, unlike Isabella who doesn't care about Ricardo.

Meanwhile,

Alejandro, Isabella, and Horacio are in a meeting with a writer friend of Horacio, at a local hotel. He works at one of the city's top-selling newspapers and has a society column that comes out weekly. Horacio asks him if he has a big story for that week. The writer says that he has. Isabella tells him to forget whatever story he was going to file because they have something better. The writer looks at Isabella, Horacio, and Alejandro disbelievingly. He adds that the story has to be better if he is to drop the current juicy scandal he has.

Alejandro says that it is. He adds that it has to do with the Montes De Alba twins. The writer is momentarily shocked. He then says that is old news because the children and their father died years ago, and there is nothing new to report. Isabella says that may not necessarily be true. They watch as the writer's curiosity grows. He says to himself that there are always sex scandals of the rich and mighty, and every society page columnist will have one, but if he writes about the Montes De Alba twins he will stand out from the crowd.

The writer then asks Alejandro, Horacio, and Isabella what they want in exchange for the story. Horacio says that they will take ten percent of all sales. The writer asks them if they have supporting details like pictures, documents, or anything. Horacio says that they do. He adds that they did an investigation and they have the report and pictures, as well as statements from people they interviewed. The writer says that he will have to talk to his boss before they can reach a deal. Isabella says that won't be a problem.

Back at Montes De Alba Inc.,

Aranza asks Adrianna and Gina how they feel about Marianna, now. Adrianna says that it’s hard to forgive her for everything, and she still doesn't understand why Marianna would let Isabella manipulate her, into using an innocent child as a bargaining chip to break up her and Hector. She adds that she is thankful for Marianna speaking though because, without that, they wouldn't have made progress in the case. Gina says that it’s also hard for her to forgive Marianna, after everything and she still isn't convinced that Marianna wasn't involved in Emma's murder.

Aranza says that she too thinks that there is something more and that Marianna, didn't tell them everything when she said that Alejandro, Isabella, and Horacio thought she was weaker and too nice and didn't tell her everything. Gina says that there was a reason why those parts were redacted. Adrianna says it could be because it's a sensitive legal matter or something very private. Gina says that could probably be true but as long as they get justice for Emma, it's fine. Adrianna and Aranza both agree.

Meanwhile in Marianna's room,

She is resting, when she remembers the day she gave her statement. She remembers telling the police investigators, who came to take her statement that she wanted Hector to get a copy of her statement, but that excluded the parts where Isabella, Alejandro, and Horacio mentioned that she had feelings for Martin. She then remembers what she said. She explained the process of how they planned and executed Hector and Antonio's drugging, Adrianna and Gina's drugging months later, and exchanging of the children.

She also explains how they found out that Emma knew what they had done, and what she discussed with her friends. She finishes by saying that she thought that the story was forgotten, and shortly after, Emma turned up dead. She also remembers the questions she was asked. She then comes back to the present, takes a deep breath, and says that she regrets everything she ever did to hurt Hector and his family. She says that she can't believe that Martin still comes to see her after everything he had found out. She adds that all that matters now is recovering and getting her daughter back.

Elsewhere, at Isabella's house,

She is there with Alejandro and Horacio. They are discussing the case, and the expose that will be done on Hector and Gina. Alejandro says that they need to redouble their efforts to ensure, that no evidence is found to convict them of the crimes. Isabella says that as long as they stick to the same script and continue denying involvement, and keep the people they hired quiet, they should be fine. Horacio adds that he wishes that it was that simple. He adds that one mistake and they will go down.

Later that day,

Gina goes to the procurement offices and finds Martin there alone. He is winding up and was just about to leave. She asks him if he can spare a few minutes. He shrugs and says that he really doesn't have a choice. She smiles and comes and pokes his arm. He smiles at her and asks her what she wants. She says that she is sorry. He asks her what mischief she and her brother are up to that they need to apologize for. Gina tells him that they aren't upto anything. She says that she just feels guilty because they have been focusing on their own problems when he has been fighting problems of his own.

Martin tells her not to mind. Gina says that she does and she feels guilty. She adds that he is always there to help her and her brother, and he forgets about himself. Martin holds her hands and says that he is fine. Gina says that she knows that he isn't. She adds that he is just stubborn. She continues and says that she knows that finding out about what Marianna had to say, about Emma really got to him. Martin folds his hands and admits that it did bother him but he is just happy that they are getting closer to getting justice. Gina says that she admires him because of what he is still doing for Marianna even after finding out what she knew.

Martin shrugs and takes a deep breath. He says that it still hurts and he is still angry at her. He says that if she spoke Emma and their child would still be alive. He adds that despite all of that he wants to help her at least for Dianna's sake. Gina says that speaking of Marianna, there was one thing she was wondering about. Martin asks her what she is talking about. Gina says that she was wondering what would happen to Marianna after she is released because nothing is about to be solved anytime soon. Martin says that he never thought about it but he will talk to her about it and see what she has to say.

Meanwhile,

Hector and Gisela Paulina have gone to Gabriel's room to visit him. He is happy to see them, especially Gisela Paulina. She runs to him, calls him grandpa, and hugs him. Hector smiles. Gisela asks him if he is about to get well soon. Hector tells her not to bother her grandfather. Gabriel tells Hector not to mind and then carries her onto his lap. Hector is taken back to his childhood when his father was playing with his sister and him.

Gabriel says to himself that he might have missed time with his children but he will work hard to recover and be there for his grandchildren. Gabriel asks Hector how he is. Hector says that he is fine. He adds that they all cannot wait for him to get better and come back home. Gisela Paulina then says that she is waiting for him to buy her presents and tell her and her cousin stories.

Elsewhere, at Isabella's house,

She is still there with Horacio and Alejandro. Horacio, who had just gotten off the phone, tells them that his writer contact called him and said that the expose has been approved by his bosses. He adds that they will go and reach a final agreement as well as hand in the report the next day to help the writer with the article. Isabella says that's fine and very soon they can unmask Hector and Gina and put an end to their lies.
