EPISODE 119

 

At Hernan and Adrianna's house,

She asks him if they knew about the investigation to uncover their true identities. Hernan tells her that Marianna told Martin a couple of days ago. He adds that Martin then told him and Gabriela. Adrianna asks Hernan if he thinks Marianna was part of it. Hernan says that he doesn't know. He adds that with everything out in the open, that doesn't matter. She then asks him what he and his sister will do next. Hernan says that they will have to talk to their sister and tell her about their father. He says that the next step will be to regain their legal identities and then hold a meeting with the shareholders and reveal their father. Adrianna is surprised.

 

She says that she thought that they would reveal their father a lot sooner than that. Hernan explains that their father wants to stage a big show and shock Helena and Carlos. Despite everything, Adrianna smiles. She says that his father is very much like his little sister. Hernan agrees. He adds that is something Aranza would do. Hernan then holds Adrianna's hands and she looks at him. He says that he is sorry for all the lies, but she can be sure that he loves her and that isn't a lie. Adrianna removes her hands away from him. She says that she needs time to process everything. Before either of them can do anything, Hernan's phone rings.

 

He excuses himself and pulls it out of its pocket. He looks at it and tells Adrianna that it is Marianna. He picks it up and greets her. She says that she has heard about their secret being revealed. She adds that she doesn't want to add to his problems. Hernan asks her if she is fine or needs anything. Marianna says that she is okay. She adds that she just needs to talk to him for a little while. Hernan asks her again if she is fine. Marianna says she is. She adds that some conversations cannot be had over the phone. Hernan asks her if Monday will be fine because he has to talk to Aranza the next day, as well as just dealing with the revelations. Marianna says that will be fine.

 

Saturday,

At Antonio and Gabriela's house,

Antonio is in the house alone, as Gabriela has gone to speak to Aranza with Hernan. He is busy lost in his thoughts when he hears a knock on the door. He says that Gaby has probably forgotten something. He goes to open the door. He is irritated to see the last person he wanted to see- Isabella. He asks her what she wants. She ignores that question and asks him how he feels about everything that has happened. She watches him flinch. Isabella pounces on that. She says that she is there for everything that he may need as he deals with Gina's lies.

 

She then adds or maybe she should call her Gabriela. Antonio says that she is in no position to judge anyone after everything she has done. Isabella says that it is pathetic that after Gabriela blatantly lied to him for all this time, he continues to defend her. Antonio tells Isabella that he is tired of her and her plotting and scheming. He adds that he doesn't want to ever see her again. Isabella sarcastically says that he must be so eager to be with someone who values revenge and money more than him.

Antonio clenches one hand. Isabella asks him if she has hit a raw nerve.

 

Antonio tells her that he is fast losing patience with her. He tells her to leave. Isabella says that she knows that she made some mistakes, but unlike Gabriela she loves him and they could be happy only if he gave her another chance. She then moves close to him. Antonio looks at her with disgust and moves away from her. He says that she loves no one but herself. He adds that she is a murderer, who should be in jail. Isabella denies killing Emma, drugging them, or switching the babies. She adds that she is just a victim. Antonio glares at her.

 

Elsewhere, at Aranza and Aurelio's House,

He tells her that everything will be fine. Aranza says that she can't help but worry and be afraid of everything that will happen going forward. She then asks Aurelio if he knew anything. Aurelio assures her that he didn't. He says when his parents found her siblings abandoned in the forest, he was two years, and they probably decided not to tell him anything, to protect him from the fallout that is happening. Aurelio adds that she loved both Hernan and Gabriela before she knew anything and that shouldn't have to change. He adds that if anything, finding out that they are her siblings should draw them closer. Aranza says that she knows but it's all so much to process at once. Aurelio holds her hands in his and then hugs her.

 

Back at Antonio and Gabriela's house,

Antonio tells Isabella that she is a crazy psychopath and that he can't wait to divorce her and be free from her. He says that she belongs in Jail. Isabella says that he should be fairer to her. Antonio rolls his eyes at her. Isabella says that she will never give him a divorce and allow him to be happy with Gabriela. Antonio folds his arms and asks her to leave. Isabella insists that she loves him. Antonio says that she doesn't even love her son, and had the child for the wrong reasons. He says that what she feels for him is a crazed obsession.

 

Isabella tries to touch him, but he recoils. He drags her towards the door and starts opening it. Isabella says that she can't believe that he is humiliating her that way because of that silly girl. Antonio corrects her and says that he is treating her exactly how she deserves to be treated. He says that she is a pathetic, miserable human being. Isabella says that it is hypocritical of him to judge her and ignore Gabriela's lying. Antonio says that she murdered Emma, and endangered his son, niece, Gabriela, and Adrianna, with all those drugs she had them given as well as him and Hernan, which is much worse than lying.

 

He says that any problems he has with Gabriela, he will solve them with her. Isabella sarcastically laughs and says that she can see that he has already embraced her new identity. Antonio pushes her out of the door and locks it. He then takes a deep breath. He says that he cannot wait for all of the drama to end. As Isabella walks on, she says that Antonio will always be hers and no one else's.

 

Meanwhile at the mental hospital,

Anna Patricia has gone to visit Gabriel. They are in his room. She is sitting on the chair by his desk, while he is sitting on one side of his bed. He says that he cannot wait for his daughter to know that he is still alive and to finally reveal himself to the world and end his exile. She says that while none of them wanted the secret to be revealed as it was, that has already happened, and they have to deal with it, in the best way they can. He then looks at her. Anna Patricia asks him what is wrong. He says he was just thinking about her. Anna Patricia looks around uncomfortably. Gabriel walks upto the chair and puts her hands into his. She looks at him and says that things are very complicated at that moment.

 

She adds that he has just found out who he is, and found out about his children as well as all the evil things Carlos and Helena have done. She adds that it isn't the right time. Gabriel says that things are not about to get easier for any of them anytime soon. He adds that should not stop them from living their lives. Anna Patricia stands and walks to the window. Gabriel follows her and puts an arm on her shoulder. Anna Patricia closes her eyes for a second and then turns around to face him. They look at each other for a few seconds. He then runs a finger down her face. He leans in and kisses her. She is caught off-guard but kisses him back.

 

Meanwhile,

Hernan and Gabriela, have arrived, at Aranza and Aurelio's house. They are sitting in the dining room. There is some water and juice on the table. Hernan stares at his little sister a little nervously. Aurelio says that he didn't want to leave Aranza alone, but he can go and give them some privacy. Gabriela says that it's fine, and he can stay if he wants to. She adds that he too needs to hear her and Hernan out because they protected him as a child by not telling him anything. Aurelio looks at Aranza and she says that she wants him there. Aranza says that she just wants to know why they would come up with such a plan.

 

She adds that she knows both Helena and Carlos well enough to know that if they (Hernan and Gabriela) had returned they would have tried killing them again. She continues and says that regardless, she doesn't understand why they kept their identities a secret once, they returned. Gabriela looks at her brother. Hernan says that after Helena and Carlos tried to kill them and their father and stole the family company, they were devastated and wanted revenge. Aranza asks them if Adrianna and Antonio were part of that revenge. She then adds that as much as she loves them both, she also loves Adrianna and Antonio.

 

She adds that she would be very disappointed if they played around with their feelings and she would probably never speak to them again. Hernan assures her that he really loves Adrianna and that he would never use her to settle scores. Gabriela assures Aranza that she really loves Antonio and she would never do that to him. Aranza visibly relaxes. She then asks Hernan and Gabriela if the reason they kept the secret for all these years and even married Horacio and Marianna was to keep their identities a secret and continue plotting their revenge. This was it. The point they told their sister, that their father was alive. Neither Hernan nor Gabriela answer. Aranza sternly looks at both of them.

 

Meanwhile at the hospital,

Marianna is walking around, in the room. She is much better, and can't wait to be released from the hospital. Just then, she hears the doorknob turn. She sighs and says that unless it's a doctor or nurse, she doesn't want any visitors. To her utter dismay, it’s Alejandro. He looks at her, smiles, and asks if she expected her brother-in-law. Marianna rolls her eyes and asks him what he wants. He asks her if he needs to book an appointment to visit her. She says that she doesn't want anything to do with him. He then moves towards her and says that whether she likes it or not, she is still his woman.

 

Alejandro tries to kiss her and she struggles against him. Marianna says that she wants nothing to do with him. She adds that soon enough evidence will be found to send him, Isabella, and Horacio to jail for murder. Alejandro holds her by her hair and makes her face him. He says that the statement she made against him and the others will be useless because they won't go anywhere. He adds that she is just as guilty about the children and the drugging as the rest of them. Marianna tries to struggle free but still, he refuses to let her go.

 

He tries to kiss her again but she blocks him and the kiss lands on her cheek. She then tells him that all she wants is to build a relationship with her daughter. Alejandro corrects her and says their daughter. Marianna glares at him. She says that he has never loved Dianna, and still doesn't love her. Alejandro says that she is no model parent either. He sarcastically asks her if she changed after almost dying or if she thinks it will make Martin love her. Marianna finally struggles free. Alejandro warns her and says that if he finds out that she has anything with Martin, he will make Martin pay. Marianna sighs.

 

Back at Aranza and Aurelio's house,

Aranza looks from Hernan to Gabriela again and folds her hands. She says that she asked a simple question. Hernan looks at his sister in a silent plea to take charge. She rolls her eyes. She, however, faces Aranza and says that it wasn't the main reason. She adds that something, a miracle happened that they hadn't expected. Aranza says that she doesn't understand. Gabriela takes a deep breath then says that it's about their father. Aranza is even more curious. Hernan says that their father is alive. Aranza is shocked for a second then laughs. She says that is impossible. She adds that the two of them were old enough to remember attending their father's funeral. Hernan says that there was also a missing body that has remained unaccounted for to date.

 

Aranza says that she has read about that, and Antonio and Adrianna told her about it as well, but it was the body of one of the Emergency medical technicians. Gabriela says that they don't know how their father survived, or whether the mix-up was due to an error or on purpose, but he did survive. Aranza is confused. Her life has been turned upside down, in less than one day. She asks Gabriela how sure she is that the person they think is their father really is. Gabriela says that they carried out a DNA test and it matched. Aranza asks her if they used her DNA. Gabriela says that they didn't. She adds that when they did the DNA test, she had just given birth, so they used Hernan's instead.

 

Aranza asks her where their father has been, and why he hasn't tried to look for her. Hernan says that it's a long story. Aranza says that she has time. Gabriela says that it's someone she already knows. Aranza looks at her siblings impatiently. She folds her hands and says that she is waiting. Gabriela says that the reason they insisted that she start visiting John wasn't that she was bubbly and good company for him but because he is their father. Aranza is shocked. She remains quiet for a while and Aurelio asks her how she feels. Aranza says that she is fine. She then says that she can handle the truth and asks her brother and sister to tell her everything.

 

Back at The Montes De Alba mansion,

Helena is still restless. She hasn't been able to relax, ever since the news broke that Hector and Gina were the twins. Carlos tells her to relax. He says that they will retain the company and fight them. Helena asks him what if the twins have an ace up their sleeve. Carlos says that the twins aren't capable of running such a huge company. He adds that they still have the support of the shareholders and years of experience behind them. Helena still isn't comfortable.

 

She says that things are going to get tricky. She adds that the only thing that can get worse is if Gabriel was still alive. Carlos sighs and says to himself that he needs to watch Helena because her fear and paranoia could lead her to make mistakes. He tells her that even if Gabriel survived, there was no way he was going to survive for long with such serious injuries, and died soon after and was buried someplace. He tells Helena to relax. He says that there is no ace the twins can come up with that they cannot deal with. Helena sighs and takes a deep breath.

 

Shortly after at Aranza and Aurelio's house,

Aranza is beyond shocked. What she has just heard, is very shocking. Her father and siblings are alive. She takes a deep breath and holds a hand to her chest. She had always wished that her father and siblings had survived, and now to learn that they had all never died was just too shocking. Hernan wakes up from his seat and kneels by Aranza's side. He holds her hands into his. He says that he is very sorry for all the lies that he told and that he hopes that she will forgive him soon. Gabriela comes and joins them. Aurelio has one hand on her shoulders.

 

Two days later it is on Monday,

Things haven't improved over the past two days, and things were still tense between Hernan and Adrianna and Antonio and Gabriela.

 

Later that evening,

At the hospital,

Marianna is in her room when she hears a knock on the door. It is Hernan. He moves closer to her. He greets her and asks her how she is. She says that she is fine and then apologizes for being a bother to him. She says that with everything going on he has a lot to deal with and she doesn't want to add to that. Hernan says that despite everything that has happened, he still wants to help her as much as possible. Marianna smiles. She says that she wanted to talk to him about something important. Hernan asks her what she wants to tell him.

 

Marianna says that she knows that Adrianna is hurt after finding out about his true identity but with time she will heal from the hurt and the two of them will be very happy. She then adds that she doesn't want to be a hindrance to that. Hernan asks her what exactly she means. Marianna says that she has hurt him so much and she is sorry. She says that she doesn't want to do that anymore. She adds that all she wants to do is to serve out her sentence, rebuild her life, and connect with her daughter. Marianna says that she wants them to get a divorce.

 

Hernan is a little surprised. He says that they both knew that was going to happen at some point after Emma's letter was found but there is no need to hurry. He adds that given her accident and that she is still in recovery, he wants that to be the main focus. Marianna thanks him for worrying about her health and safety despite everything she has done. Hernan says that he is just happy that she got another chance to be a better person.
