The next day on Thursday,
Claudia is at her house, with her husband, Juan Patricio. She has just told him what Antonio told her, the previous day. He is of course shocked. He says that Antonio has to do what he has to, and if Isabella is guilty of murder, she should pay. Juan Patricio adds that he however doesn't understand why Antonio and Gina insist on keeping Isabella and Horacio's son. Claudia says that the boy is an innocent victim of his parents' crimes. Juan Patricio says that Antonio isn't an orphanage for unwanted children.
Claudia says that she too initially objected to the idea and it will take some time to get used to. She adds that letting Isabella and Horacio have their son isn't an option given the charges against them. Juan Patricio says that they don't have to do that and they can instead take the child to an orphanage. Claudia looks at him horrified. She says that it is the children who are at the center of the scandal that is about to blow up. Juan Patricio says that Antonio should focus on his child. Claudia shakes her head.
Sometime later,
Dr. Alves comes to check up on John (Gabriel) again. After what he found out yesterday, he could not stop thinking about John. When he enters John's room, he finds him lost in his thoughts. John, however, turns when Dr. Alves comes in. Dr. Alves asks him if he is fine. John says that he is. He then says that he was talking to Aranza and she told him her whole story. He adds that her missing older siblings, the twins are called Hernan and Gabriela, the same names as his lost twin children.
He also adds that Gabriel, her father's name, the name he thinks is his because it is the name of the child he believes is a younger version of himself, makes him believe that he has finally found out who he is. Dr. Alves momentarily turns pale. John then looks at him. He says to himself that the doctor knows who he is. He, however, sits down. He then tells John that the matter has to be treated with utter discretion.
John says he understands that for now, he has to remain quiet because he still doesn't know everything. He then asks the doctor, if he thinks Anna Patricia, Hector, and Gina know who he is. Dr. Alves says that given the mystery of the missing body, his children's unexplained disappearance, and who he was, it is likely they know who he is. John thinks about something.
He then says that if people believe he was dead, and that somebody else is missing maybe there was a mix-up or a deliberate act of making people believe he was dead. Dr. Alves tells him to take it slowly. He adds that for the sake of everyone involved especially Aranza, they should take things slowly. John agrees.
Later in the evening,
Martin goes to visit Hector after work. They are discussing how to bring down, Isabella, Marianna, Horacio, and Alejandro. Martin says that after everything they have done, they deserve to pay. Hector agrees and says that he has an idea. Martin frowns and says that he has a feeling that he (Hector) is going to drag him into some kind of madness. Hector smiles and says that he isn't up to any kind of scheme. He adds that he simply thinks that they should break down the quartet through the weakest link, which is Marianna.
Martin looks at his cousin confused. He says that he doesn't understand what he means. Hector says that Marianna either isn't as smart or as evil, as her friends, and they can find out her weak spot and use it. Hector adds that he (Martin) should work on softening Marianna and also try and convince her to help them. Martin is unsure about the whole idea. Hector says that he is injured, and they need to start doing something immediately to get justice and to put all the bad times behind them. Martin is still wary of the whole idea. Hector tells him to at least think about it and Martin says that he will.
One week passes during which, Alejandro, Isabella, Horacio, and Marianna are released from the holding cell after three days, awaiting trial, as investigations go on. They are however banned from leaving the city. Also, Adrianna moves into Hector's house with Dianna (the real one, whom she believed was her daughter, Gisela Paulina). The real Gisela Paulina is wary of her at first and it pains Adrianna.
Meanwhile, Gina moves into Antonio's house with Ricardo (the real one whom she believed was her son, Hannibal). The boys share a room, but everyone has his bed. Much to Antonio's dismay, Gina insists on moving into the third bedroom. Antonio watches Gina go into the room, and close the door. He sighs. He says that he has been away from her for too long, and he misses her. He adds that he will do everything he can to win her over again.
Meanwhile, Hector continues improving, although slowly, as their father continues making every effort to get better. He, however, doesn't tell Gina, Anna Patricia, and Aranza about what he knows. When they ask him, he says he is fine and adds that he is just remembering things. Also, official DNA tests are done, and the results confirm the earlier ones.
That Friday night,
Gina is in her room. A lot of things are going through her mind. She feels very stressed with everything going on. She is sitting on the edge of the bed. She is afraid of what will happen in the future. She says that things are getting messier and more complicated. She then stands up and goes to the window, and looks outside. She says to herself that Isabella and Horacio aren't going to give up and will only make their lives harder.
She adds that to top it all off, she and her brother are getting much deeper into their lies. Just then, she hears a knock on the door. She knows it is Antonio because the boys are asleep. She tells him to come in. Antonio comes and moves towards her. He asks her if she is fine. Gina says that she is and tries to walk past him, but he holds one of her arms. She turns and faces him. He can see that she is frightened. Why won't she let him help her?
Antonio says that it is obvious that something is disturbing her, and he wants to help her, but she keeps on retreating further into herself and shutting him out. Gina says that she is fine, but she just needs some time to process everything that has been happening. She adds that coming back to the house was a bad idea, and she needs to leave with the children as soon as possible. Antonio moves towards her and holds up her face.
He asks her why she would say something like that when they have been separated for too long by so many lies. Gina says that Isabella and Horacio aren't done with them, and will probably use this against them. Antonio says that after everything Isabella and Horacio have done, they have no credibility and right to demand anything. He adds that it is now more than ever that they need to be together and stronger so that they can fight Isabella and Horacio together.
Meanwhile at Hector and Adrianna's house,
Adrianna is in the dining room, with a book. She has been trying to read for a while, but clearly, it has been futile. She takes the book, closes it, and places it aside. She says that with everything as crazy as it has been, she can't concentrate on the book. She says that she can't stop thinking of what the future holds for the children and what shenanigans Marianna and her friends are planning.
Just then, she hears footsteps and turns around to see Gisela Paulina (the real one), her daughter. She calls her princess and asks her if she is fine. Gisela who is clutching her teddy bear walks and sits near Adrianna. She says that she wants to go and see her mother. Adrianna clutches her chest then runs a hand through Gisela's hair.
It pains her that her daughter doesn't know that she is her mother. Adrianna tells Gisela (the real one) that it will be impossible because her mother had to go somewhere for a while. She then tells her that she will take care of her in the meantime, and she can stay there for as long as she wants. Gisela looks at Adrianna and asks her if her mother and father love her.
Adrianna looks surprised at the question. She holds one of Gisela's hands and tells her that she is loved. She adds that her mother has to be away and her father is sick but they think of her all the time. Gisela asks Adrianna if she will take her to the hospital to see her father. Adrianna says that she will. Gisela smiles at her. Adrianna says to herself that she is so much like Hector.
Back at Antonio and Gina's house,
Gina has increased the distance between her and Antonio. She then insists that she is tired and it was too soon to move back in. She adds that there is too much going on at the moment and that it isn't the time to start anything again. Antonio says that they have no idea when the whole mess would end and their lives can't stop because of it either. Gina knows that he is right, but still, she holds back. When she says nothing, he continues and insists that it is now when they need each other the most, because things might get worse.
Gina in her stubborn fashion insists that they should not start anything because the situation is complicated. Antonio folds his hands and asks her if that's the only thing that's worrying her. He adds that she seemed to be lost in her thoughts when he came in. Gina says that it's nothing, and tries to move past Antonio to leave. He holds her hands and she looks up at him. They face each other for a few seconds. Unable to stop himself, Antonio leans in and kisses her. Gina kisses him back. After some time, Gina pulls away from Antonio.
She then tells him that she needs to get something from the sitting room. Antonio smiles at her. He asks her if she has just remembered what she needed to get at that particular moment. Gina glares at him and frees herself from his grip. She tells him to leave her alone. Gina is however surprised when Antonio walks past her and stands at the door. She walks the short distance to the door and asks Antonio what he is trying to do. He says that he is preventing her from fleeing and avoiding him. Gina rolls her eyes at him and then moves to the other end of the room.
Elsewhere at Aurelio and Aranza's house,
Aurelio comes into their bedroom. Aranza is sitting on the bed. He sees that she is quiet. He says that she is too quiet, and that is unlike her because she is too nosy and jumpy. Aranza smiles and throws a pillow at him. He catches it and then sits near her. She then says that she was just thinking about everything that had been happening lately to Antonio, Gina, Adrianna, and Hector. She adds that she knows that Isabella and her cronies are not done causing harm to them.
Aurelio agrees. He adds that the four of them are crazy. He then asks why she called the other three Isabella's cronies. Aranza says that she believes that Isabella is the mastermind of all the evil plans. Aurelio says that he would have said it was Alejandro. Aranza says that of the four, Isabella seems like the one most likely to come up with the evilest plans. She adds that Marianna is probably the ditzy one of the group. Aurelio shakes his head.
He says that he can see that her royal nosiness is busy as usual. She smiles then gets serious. She says that she is just angry that the quartet of evil is free and is probably still planning to hurt Adrianna, Antonio, Hector, and Gina. Aurelio puts his arms around her and says that Antonio, Adrianna, Hector, and Gina are all very strong. He adds that the two of them will also be there for them. He then says that it is a Friday, and they should put aside their problems for a while and take a breather.
He adds that all the problems aside, it had been a good day and it should end well. Aranza smiles and asks him what he has in mind. Aurelio runs his hands down her face softly. He then leans in and kisses her. Aranza kisses him back. After a while, he pulls away from her and then lays her gently on the bed. They continue kissing and after some time, they stop and undress each other before continuing.
Back at Antonio and Gina's house,
Antonio moves to the other end of the room, where Gina is. She is facing the window. He stands right behind her and holds one of her hands. She turns to face him. Once more they are face to face. Antonio has been waiting for this moment ever since he was separated from Gina. It had only been a few years since they were a couple. However, it seemed like a lifetime. It pained him to see her so often and not be able to be near her.
It was unbearable to act aloof, when around her when all he wanted to do each time was take her into his arms. There she was, where she always belonged, by his side. He wasn't going to lose that chance. Antonio leans in and kisses her. Gina gives in to her passion and kisses him back. After some time, Antonio pulls away from Gina and carries her to the bed. They then continue to kiss each other for some time. After which they undress each other and continue.
