EPISODE 72

 

Back at Montes De Alba inc, Carlos says that, no woman has ever rejected him and that Anna Patricia won't be the first. He says that he will have her one way or the other.

Elsewhere, Marianna, is at her house, with the baby. She smiles evilly and then picks up her phone. At Adrianna's house, she sees her phone ringing and picks it up. She is a little surprised to see that the phone number is unknown but picks it up anyway. Marianna mockingly greets her. Adrianna rolls her eyes and asks her what she wants. Marianna, says that she is calling because they need to talk about Hector. Adrianna says that they have nothing to talk about least of all Hector. Marianna in a mocking tone asks her really. She reminds Adrianna that she also has Hector's daughter, and she and her daughter are going anywhere.

Adrianna takes a deep breath and tells Marianna to stop her silly mind games, and focus on raising her daughter. Marianna tells Adrianna that she is no one to tell her what to do because she does what she wants. Adrianna tells Marianna that even if she doesn't care about herself, she should be mature and stop petty fights for her daughter's sake. Marianna says that she didn't call to listen to her (Adrianna) lecture her, but to talk about Hector.

Marianna doesn't wait for Adrianna to respond and says that she will have Hector, and it will happen quite soon. Adrianna says it is quite clear she is crazy and obsessive, and will probably end up alone, and hangs up. Adrianna then says to herself that Marianna drives her up the wall.

Marianna meanwhile says that it doesn't matter, what Adrianna says because she will have the last laugh when she ends up with Hector. Adrianna meanwhile says that she pities Marianna's daughter.

Meanwhile, Clara is at home, when she hears a knock on the door, she goes and opens it. Claudia is the last person, she expected to see at her house. Clara quickly recovers her manners and asks her to come in. Claudia looks around, surveys her surroundings, then sits down. Clara then walks and sits in the chair facing Claudia. Claudia says that by now, Clara should have known that this isn't a social call. Clara assures her that she has no such illusions. Claudia says that she should have come much earlier, but it doesn't really matter because she was there anyway. Claudia then continues and says that she came to defend her rights, and those of her family, since her son, isn't too concerned.

Later on in the day, Isabella calls Gina. She too, is, of course, using an unknown number. Gina picks up the phone but frowns when she hears it's Isabella. Gina asks Isabella if she is calling to make peace. Isabella smirks and says that she is not going to lose Antonio to a nobody, like her. Gina replies that she isn't interested, in hearing her insults, and says that they don't have to like each other, but that they should act civil for the children's sake. Isabella says that she has no interest in playing second fiddle and letting her have Antonio.

Gina says that it's not a battle, and Antonio isn't a prize to be fought over and won. She adds that he made a choice, and chose her, and says that Isabella should accept that and move on, for her son's sake. Isabella smirks and tells Gina that she shouldn't feel too special because she managed to confuse Antonio. Gina takes a deep breath, and tells Isabella to get a life, and stop calling her just to insult her.

Isabella reminds Gina that she will get Antonio and that she is her worst nightmare. Isabella tells Gina that she will work to break her and Antonio up. Gina tells Isabella she is crazy and then hangs up. Isabella says she will have the final laugh when she gets Antonio. Gina meanwhile is drained from the encounter and drinks a glass of water.

Much later, Hector is at home with Adrianna. She tells him that Marianna called her earlier in the day. Hector asks her what she wanted. Adrianna says, that she didn't want anything and was just her usual self and insulted and annoyed her. Hector tells Adrianna not to mind her. Adrianna says that she is worried that Marianna is crazy and is getting even more obsessed with him and might even do something crazy. He says that she shouldn't worry too much about Marianna but they should keep an eye out for her.

On Tuesday,

In the morning as Antonio is getting ready for work, Gina mentions that Isabella called her. Antonio says he is sure, it wasn't pleasant and that Isabella was quarrelsome as usual. Gina says she was. Antonio walks over to Gina and kisses her. He says that he loves her and that they will get over their problems. Gina says that she hopes so because it's all so difficult sometimes.

Elsewhere, John is in his room, getting ready for another day at work, when he has a flashback. In it, a young man, in his late twenties, is in his office, when a young girl about four years old, comes in crying. The man carries her onto his lap and wipes her tears away with a handkerchief. She says that Hernan has broken her doll. He tells her not to cry and adds that he will punish her brother and buy her a new doll. Voices of people passing outside his door get him back to the present. He asks himself who the girl in his dreams and her brother are.

Elsewhere, Anna Patricia is at home, it's the first day of her two weeks' leave. She is alone as her parents had already left. She hears a knock on the door and says to herself that she hopes it's not Carlos again, as she goes to open it. She is even more shocked to see Helena than she was to see Carlos. She says to herself that this is much worse. Helena does not wait to be told to get in. She just does it. Helena looks around and surveys the house. She then moves and sits down. Anna Patricia closes the door and follows her.

Aurelio meanwhile is sitting at a bench in school waiting for a friend, when Mauricio comes and sits near him. Aurelio isn't in the mood to pick up fights with him and stands up. Mauricio says that he shouldn't feel too high and mighty because he is still a bastard, and has no morals, dignity, or class. Aurelio says that he (Mauricio) can say whatever he likes, but it doesn't change the fact that he is nothing but a bitter spoilt, little criminal.

Mauricio says that it should be expected because he is just like his grandmother, who is of loose morals. In an instant, Aurelio has Mauricio by his collar and punches him. Aurelio tells Mauricio, that he can call him whatever he wants but he is going to respect his family, especially his grandmother, whether he likes it or not. Mauricio tries to fights back but Aurelio pushes him to the ground and punches him.

Back at Ramon and Clara's house, Helena tells Anna Patricia that she must know why she (Helena) is here. Anna Patricia says that she doesn't. Helena tells her to stop playing the fool. Anna Patricia reminds her that she is the one who came to her house to talk to her, not the other way around. Helena tells her to know her place and to respect those above her. Anna Patricia tells her to stop insulting her and to get straight to the point. Helena tells her to stop going after Carlos. Anna Patricia looks at her like she is crazy. She asks Helena where she would get such ridiculous ideas. Helena says she knows, women like her, women who have been single for years and pretend to be happy alone but are after other's men.

Anna Patricia, tells Helena that she is crazy, and adds that she (Anna) has no interest in Carlos. She adds that Carlos has a reputation of being randy and will chase virtually anything that walks in a skirt. Anna Patricia tells Helena that she should tame him and put him on a leash. Helena is surprised. She hadn't met anyone else apart from Aranza and Antonio with the guts to stand up to her. She tells Anna Patricia that she is just a commoner, a nobody. Anna Patricia reminds her that before she married Gabriel Montes De Alba, she was just like any other person and money clearly doesn't buy, class because she has none. Helena raises her hand to strike Anna Patricia, but she (Anna) stops and tells her not to dare try that again.

Helena says that she really must be desperate for a man if she is chasing her husband and at the same time, going after a sick crazy man. Anna Patricia says to herself that if only that witch knew that the person she calls a sick crazy man, is her husband whom she tried to kill nearly nineteen years ago, it would send her to her grave. Out loud Anna Patricia says that her private life is none of her (Helena) business. She adds that she has said it and will repeat it again. She isn't interested in Carlos. She also adds that he is a criminal, and she has too much self-respect to be attracted to someone like that.

A full day passes and then on Thursday.

At Antonio's house, Gina, is in the kitchen, when there is a knock on the door. The house help has gone to buy something, so she is alone. She goes and opens the door and is shocked to see Horacio. He walks past her and gets in. He looks around. Gina closes the door and asks him what he wants. He says he missed her. Gina folds her, hands and says her patience to tolerate him run out, so he should leave because they have nothing to speak about. Horacio says that's where she is wrong because they have a lot to talk about.

He adds that in fact, he has come to talk about their future. Gina says that he is crazy and demented. She adds that her only future is with Antonio and their son because she is in love with Antonio. Horacio looks at her like a lion sizing up a gazelle and says that the only future she, has is with him and their son. Gina says that she has heard more than enough, nonsense from him.

Meanwhile, Alejandro arrives at Hector's house and knocks on the door. Adrianna thinking it's the help who is back, goes and opens the door and is super shocked to see Alejandro. He moves past her and walks to the crib. Adrianna locks the door and follows him. He gazes at the baby and then tickles her. Adrianna asks him what he wants. Alejandro says that he came to see that beautiful princess. Adrianna says that her daughter doesn't need him.

Adrianna adds that Gisela has her father and three uncles (Martin, Antonio, and Aurelio) who love her. Alejandro tries to move towards her but she moves back. Adrianna says that she will kill him to protect her daughter if necessary if he tries to harm her. Alejandro says that he is hurt, that she thinks he would harm his own daughter. Adrianna looks at him like he is crazy.
