EPISODE 60

 

Back at Juan Patricio and Claudia's house,

Antonio has just told everyone, the truth. Juan Patricio says that Clara's claims of rape are lies. He insists she and Ramon, ran off while she was pregnant with his child without telling him. Antonio says they all know he is no saint, and Clara isn't the type of woman to lie about something as serious as rape. Antonio tells his grandfather that he is obsessive and misogynistic enough to be capable of rape. Carlos tells Antonio to relax, and not believe everything he is told. Claudia says that he is so blinded by his infatuation with Gina, that he is willing to believe any lie her family gives.

Antonio tells her not to bring Gina into this because she has nothing to do with it. He adds that it is sickening that she (Claudia) would ignore something so tragic on a fellow woman, because of her dark heart and pure hatred for Gina and people she hasn't met. Antonio says that for him not much will change, except that he will want to get closer to Armando and Aurelio because they are family and he will guide Aurelio where he can career-wise.

Back at Hector's house, Adrianna is alone in the dining room. Hector had gone to his room to pick his charger. Adrianna's phone rings. The number is, unknown, making her a bit apprehensive. She picks it up anyway. It is Alejandro. He calls her his beautiful queen, and asks her, how she is. Adrianna tells him, to leave her alone, and then she hangs up. Hector comes out of his room, and seeing her looking rattled and rushes to her side, then drops the charger on a nearby desk. He asks her who was on the phone, but even as he does, he already knows it.

Adrianna tells him that Alejandro had just called her to disturb her but she shut him down. Hector's hands clench, and he says that one of these days he will beat up Alejandro. Adrianna looks at him and tells him that Alejandro is not worth getting into trouble for. Hector says that he will not allow anyone to harass her and that Alejandro needs to learn to respect boundaries. Adrianna says that she does agree that Alejandro should learn to respect boundaries and leave her alone, but that they should also not pay him any attention.

Hector then says that they shouldn't discuss Alejandro or let him ruin their night. He then leans in and kisses her. Adrianna puts her arms around his neck and kisses him back. He then stops kissing her after a few minutes and guides her to his bed. They then begin to eagerly undress each other, as he kisses her.

One week later on a Saturday, Juan Patricio, goes to Armando and Luisa's home. He knocks, on the door, and waits. Armando opens the door and is shocked to see Juan Patricio there. He then collects himself and lets him in. Juan Patricio sits on a couch. Looking at Armando, he is reminded so much of his father. Armando goes straight, to the point, and asks him what he wants.

Juan Patricio, says he wants to get closer to him and Aurelio because they are his family. Armando reminds him that family is more than shared, blood. He adds that he and Aurelio only share his blood, but he shouldn't consider them as family. He adds that he isn't about to forgive him for raping his mother, even if he (Armando) was the result.

Meanwhile, Claudia arrives at Antonio's house. He gives her a look of pure irritation but allows her in. He asks her what she wants to interrogate him about. Claudia rolls her eyes and then asks him where Gina is. Antonio says that she went to visit John at the mental hospital. Claudia rolls her eyes in disgust. She says that Gina has continued her obsession with the crazy man. Antonio stares at his grandmother in irritation and asks her what she came to do. Claudia tells him that they need to talk. Antonio folds his hands and rolls his eyes. He knows that then, like any other interaction with, his grandmother, will be unpleasant.

Claudia says that Gina isn't the woman, for him. She adds that he should be with someone like Isabella, who was raised in a proper family because Gina comes from a questionable background, and was raised by people with questionable morals. Antonio runs his hand through his hair. No one had a quicker way of getting on his nerves like his grandmother. Antonio tells his grandmother, that it wasn't Clara's fault that she got raped. He then adds that Clara is a nice person, who raised two children and four grandchildren well. Antonio then adds that he is tired of her (Claudia) constantly meddling in his life.

He adds that he loves Gina and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, and he does not care what she thinks. Claudia shakes her head. She then says that it is sad, that, 'that girl' (Gina), has turned him against her. Antonio stares at his grandmother, shocked. He points out that no one but herself is driving him away from her. He adds that she is driving him away with her unreasonable and controlling nature. He tells her he wants her to back off his life. Claudia stares at him unfazed. She tells him that he is making a big mistake with Gina. Antonio says that the only mistake he is making is entertaining her when she tries to bulldoze through his life.

At the mental hospital, Hector and Gina are talking as Anna Patricia, and John, take a walk through the gardens. Hector looks at his sister and asks her what's wrong. She tells him that she is fine. He says that they are twins and he knows and understands her better than anyone else, and can tell when she is not okay. Gina folds her hands and looks down, to avoid meeting her brother's questioning gaze. He puts, an arm, around her, supportively. She looks up at him. He says something really is up, because she is folding her arms and looking, down, like she would do when they were children and she was feeling sad or depressed.

Gina smiles and admits that he really knows her well. Hector says that he has had the misfortune of knowing her from day one. She rolls her eyes and says that, that she feels that she doesn't deserve to be a mother. Hector is totally taken by surprise and asks her why. She says that she feels like she is the reason their mother died. Hector looks at his sister, he still has no idea, what she is getting at. Gina says their mother was very fragile, and that their pregnancy, was difficult for her to carry. Gina adds, that their mother would still be alive if it wasn't for her because she didn't have the strength to give birth to twins.

Gina adds that their father would still be alive because he wouldn't have married Helena. She adds that their mother died because of her and they lost everything. Her eyes are watering and she starts crying. Hector hugs his sister. She asks him if he hates her. He turns her to face him and says that he loves her more than he loves anyone else and that she is more than his twin, she is his best friend. She asks him if he blames her for their mother's death. Hector says he doesn't. He says that he definitely would have loved to grow up with their mother, but it was not to be, and no one has any control over that.

He adds that as far as their father's death is concerned, the only people to blame are Helena and Carlos and that hopefully they will get back what is rightfully theirs and their sister's and unmask Helena and Carlos. Gina says that despite everything, they were lucky Armando and Luisa found them and they grew up with people who loved them and that Aranza is nothing like her mother. Hector agrees that they did end up in a loving home. He then says Aranza reminds him so much of their father. Gina agrees.

Hector looks at her again, and Gina asks him if he is thinking of some annoying comment to make. Hector says that not really but someone had to have enough humour for both of them. Gina rolls her eyes at him but smiles at him. He then gets serious and says that if anyone deserves to be a mother, it is her. He adds that he is not saying it, just because she is his sister, but because he believes it. He adds that he believes that she will make a fantastic mother. He then hugs her again.

Meanwhile, Anna Patricia asks the doctor how John has been doing at work. He says that so far so good and that John has been, improving day by day. He adds that he is very sharp, intelligent, and grasps things quickly. The doctor adds that whoever John was in his life before the accident he was very intelligent and probably quite successful.

A little later, Claudia and Carlos are at the country club. She tells him that he can't let 'that woman' (Clara) take what is rightfully theirs. She adds that he can't let his father give her or her bastards any of their money. Carlos assures his mother that he will protect his, Antonio's, and her interests.

Elsewhere, Gina, Adrianna, and Emma are at a restaurant, having a fun girls' day out. Adrianna reminds them that Aranza's 18th birthday is coming up soon, and they should do something special for her. Gina suggests that they should each do something individual, for her but have one big party. Emma thinks it's a brilliant idea and they begin to discuss ideas. Meanwhile, Antonio, Hector, and Martin are also together.

Meanwhile, Marianna and Alejandro are having a steamy session at his house, and Isabella and Horacio are having one as well at his house.

Elsewhere, Juan Patricio goes to Ramon and Clara's house. Clara is alone as Ramon has momentarily stepped out. She is shaken to see him in person, and her face goes almost white. It has been so many years. He greets, her but she ignores him. She asks him what he wants. He says they need to talk. She says that they have nothing to say to each other. She adds that both Armando and Aurelio are adults and whatever he has to say he can tell them directly. She turns to move, but he holds her arm. She turns back to face him and jerks away from him. She tells him never to touch her again. He asks her if she is still angry at their little moment years ago.

She shoots daggers at him with her eyes and moves to increase the distance between them. He, however, anticipates her move and grips her hand tightly. He asks her why she still pretends to be angry when she named her daughter after him. Clara glares at him and says she named her daughter after the priest who baptized Armando, and who was the head of the parish at the time. She adds that she would never name anyone or anything in his honor, so he can take his ego a few notches down. She then jerks away from him and continues to glare at him.

Just then Ramon comes back. He glares at Juan Patricio and tells him that he has no right to be there and that he should leave. Juan Patricio says that he will leave when he wants to, and not when he (Ramon) tells him to. Ramon says that he is a miserable scum and orders him out. He says that this is his house and he decides who stays. Juan Patricio looks like he is about to argue but walks out. Ramon hugs his wife. Clara tells him that there is no need to tell anyone of that unpleasant visit and cause more drama. He agrees with her.
