Back with Antonio and Aranza,
Antonio asks Aranza if she has any idea where Hernan and Gabriela went. Aranza asks Antonio why he thinks that she would know something. Antonio shrugs and says that if anyone knows how her siblings think it is her. Aranza says that just like everyone else, she is in the dark. She adds all she knows is what everyone else knows, and that is the fact that Hernan and Gabriela went to rescue the children. Aranza reminds Antonio that Hernan and Gabriela are twins and often do things just the two of them.
Antonio says that's true but she still looks like she knows something. Aranza frowns at him. The door is opened and Gabriel enters. He looks at Aranza and Antonio and asks them if everything is okay. Antonio says that everything is fine. He then adds that he thinks Aranza knows something about where her siblings went. Aranza glares at Antonio. Gabriel looks at his daughter, then at Antonio. He tells Antonio to leave him with his daughter alone. Antonio agrees and leaves.
Elsewhere,
Back at where Helena has the twins and the children,
Hernan and Gabriela are in their room in the abandoned warehouse. They are eating breakfast. They have been given tea and bread in separate trays. Hernan can see how worried and scared his sister is. He squeezes her hand. She looks up at him. He smiles at her. He tells her that despite how things are at the moment, they will get better. Gabriela smiles back. She says that she hopes so.
She adds that all she wants is to have both her children safe and by her side. She then remembers something and her eyes grow wide with fear. Hernan, concerned asks her what's going on. Gabriela says that she is worried about their father and his health. She then looks at her brother and asks him if he thinks that their father will get sick and have an attack because of them and their children being in danger. She reminds him that their father's health worsened when everyone thought they were dead, even though he only had amnesia at the time.
Hernan holds his sister's hands and says that neither of them can predict what will happen in the future. He adds that all they can do is pray that God will keep all their loved ones, especially their father safe and healthy. Hernan then says that soon enough, people will figure out where they are and they will be taken to safety. Gabriela asks him how sure he is that they will be found quickly. Hernan says that Aranza will lead the police to the hideout.
Gabriela looks at Hernan shocked and says their little sister. Hernan asks Gabriela why she is surprised. He says that they have to admit that not only is their sister clever, she also understands how they think more than anyone else. Gabriela says that being Helena's daughter, she also knows more about how her mother's twisted mind works more than anyone else. Hernan agrees and says that too.
Back in Hernan and Adrianna's house,
Antonio is in the dining room when Adrianna and Martin come in. Adrianna looks at Antonio and asks him what's going on. Antonio says that he left Gabriel questioning Aranza. Martin asks him what it was about. Antonio says that he walked into Gisela's room and found Aranza there. He adds that from how she acted, he suspects that she knows something about where Hernan and Gabriela were. He adds that her father came in so he let him question her instead. Adrianna asks Antonio if he believes that Aranza would protect her siblings after they have done something so risky.
Antonio says he does. Martin adds that Aranza has the added advantage of not only knowing how the twins think but how Helena does as well. Antonio agrees and says that if anyone is to help figure out how to solve things, it is Aranza. Adrianna asks Antonio if he knows anything more about the search. Antonio says that it might take a while. He adds that the trail leading upto where the twin's last phone signals were heard is being traced. Adrianna says that the area is highly forested and a haven for criminals. Antonio says that they can only hope and pray for the best.
Back to Gisela Paulina's room,
Gabriel looks at his daughter. Aranza smiles nervously at her father. Gabriel says that because of the situation, he will get straight to the point. He asks Aranza if she knows where her siblings went. Aranza tells her father that they didn't tell her where they were going. Gabriel says that he knows they didn't. He adds that he also knows that she knows something. Aranza smiles again and sighs. She calls her father, dad and asks him how she would know where her siblings were if they didn't tell her.
Gabriel says that she is very clever and she knows how her siblings' minds work.
He then asks her if she knows anything at all. Aranza remains quiet. Gabriel sighs and moves closer to her. He puts an arm around her shoulder. He tells her that what her brother and sister have done is very reckless and has put not only the children but now themselves in danger. He adds that they both know that Helena is crazy and vengeful.
He also adds that while it is likely that her main goal was to use the children as bait, so she can get Hernan and Gabriela to go to her, she could snap and hurt the children as well. Aranza thinks about it.
She says that she thinks that her mother, took Hannibal and Gisela to around the same area she abandoned the twins in, years ago.
Gabriel is a little surprised. He asks her what led her to believe that.
Aranza shrugs and tells her father that it might sound a little crazy.
Gabriel says that what matters is that her siblings, niece, and nephew are found. Aranza turns walks to the table and picks up the Hansel and Gretel storybook. She then hands it to her father. He flips through it and checks both the front and back. He then looks at Aranza and says that he doesn't understand. Aranza says that what happened to Hernan and Gabriela years ago in the forest is similar to what happens in the fairy tale.
Back to where Hernan and Gabriela are locked up,
Hernan and Gabriela have both finished eating breakfast. Hernan is drinking water from a bottle when they hear movement at the door. They both keep quiet as they look towards the door to see who it is. Hernan takes one of his sister's hands into his. They look at each other with fear. The door is opened and Helena casually strolls in. She looks at both Hernan and Gabriela with complete disgust. Hernan tells her to stop playing her sick twisted game and release them and their children.
Helena glares at them both. She says that they are both exactly where they are meant to be, on the ground with the rest of the trash. Gabriela glares back at her. She says, unfortunately, she (Helena) is missing from the park. Helena glares at her. She then tells Gabriela that she can say what she wants. She also tells the twins that she holds the power and that she is holding their lives and that of their children in her hands.
Back in Gisela Paulina's room,
Gabriel reads the back cover of the book then looks at Aranza. He asks her exactly what she means. Aranza first asks her father if he knows what the story is about. Gabriel says that he does. He adds that he has read the story to Ricardo and Ramona a couple of times. Aranza says okay then adds that Helena had Hannibal and Gisela Paulina kidnapped so she could finish what she started twenty-four years ago when the twins were eight. Gabriel says that Helena is going to try and kill the twins. Aranza nods. Gabriel sighs and holds his chest.
Aranza looks at her father and frowns. She then asks him if he is fine. Gabriel waves Aranza away. He says that he is perfectly fine. Aranza looks at him skeptically. Gabriel manages a smile. He says that this time, he will be well. Aranza asks her father what he will do. Gabriel says that he has to go to the station. Aranza looks at him wide-eyed. She asks him what he will say. She adds that he can't say that Helena is most likely in a certain area and he suspects that because of a fairy-tale. She also adds that it will sound crazy.
Gabriel smiles and tells her not to worry. He says that he will have the right words. He then looks at the storybook again. He says that the similarities between the twin's story and the fairy-tale are striking. Aranza agrees. She says it's almost like Helena used the book as a guide. She adds that unlike in the story where the children were left because of poverty, Helena and Carlos abandoned the twins because of money.
Sometime later,
Hernan and Gabriela are in the room they have been locked in. They are eating lunch when they hear noises and movement at the door. They look at each other, then at the door as it is opened. It's Helena. She glares at them then peeps out and tells an unseen person to bring them closer. She then opens the door wide open and pushes Hannibal and Gisela in. Immediately both Hernan and Gabriela stop eating. Hannibal runs to Gabriela and hugs her and Gisela runs to Hernan and hugs him. Hannibal begins crying while saying mommy, while Gisela begins crying saying, daddy. Hernan and Gabriela comfort their children. Helena rolls her eyes and frowns. She then yells out enough. She then tells Hannibal and Gisela to go and sit in another corner of the room.
Hannibal moves closer to Gabriela and Gisela moves closer to Hernan. Helena glares at the four of them. She adds that if she will have to repeat herself she will shoot two people. Gisela looks at Hernan and begins crying. Hernan kisses Gisela on the forehead and while calling her princess, tells her to sit where she was told. Gisela wipes away some tears and goes to sit where Helena said. Gabriela kisses Hannibal on the forehead and then tells him to follow his cousin. Gabriela watches her son walk away. With each step, he takes away from her, her heart breaks. She wipes away a loose tear. Helena looks around the room with disgust and then tells them that they have twenty minutes. She then leaves the room.
An agonizing four days pass during which Gabriel goes to the station. The search for the twins and their children intensifies.
