The next day (on Wednesday),
Alejandro is still causing drama over Adrianna visiting Hector at the hospital. Adrianna asks him what he is trying to hide by not wanting her to visit Hector. She tells him to stop being paranoid because it is only a simple visit. Alejandro holds her hand a bit roughly and says that he knows that she is still in love with Hector. Adrianna looks at him with pure disgust.
She then tells him that the visit isn't about her, but about supporting Hector through a tragedy. She says that right now he sounds like he is behind what happened to Hector. Alejandro tells her that she is crazy for accusing him of something like that. He adds that either way, she will remain with him forever. Adrianna says to herself that forever is a short time and soon his web of lies will unravel.
Shortly after, at the mental hospital,
The doctor comes into John's room to examine him. Even though he is technically not a patient, he is still examined, a couple of times a week. This is because as much as his sanity has improved, and he can remember his present, his memory of his past, is still scanty and comes in bits and pieces. He therefore still goes through treatment, though not as much as earlier. Dr. Alves asks him how he is and John says he is fine.
The doctor then asks him if he has had another flashback.
John says he did and the doctor asks him what was in it. John says that in the flashback a man, he believes is a younger him, goes into a sitting room, in a very big house, and asks his two children, a boy, and a girl, to follow him outside. John continues and says that when they reach there, he gives the children each a bike. He then adds that the boy loves his blue bike, while the girl frowns and says that he knows that she hates pink.
He adds that the boy tells his sister to say thank you and to stop being annoying and spoilt, and they argue but he stops them and tells them to stop being mean to each other. He also adds that he told them that the bikes were early birthday presents, and the girl said that she didn't want to share a birthday with her brother. John says that he then tells them that, they are twins, and they were born, on the same day and share a special bond that most people don't.
The doctor asks him if he remembers the children's names, and John says that finally, he does. The doctor asks John what the children's names are. John says, Hernan and Gabriela. On hearing the names, the doctor looks at him, in complete shock. He tells himself that if what he thinks is true, this could be the most important patient he has ever treated. He adds that he had a feeling this patient would be unique, but never in his wildest dreams would he have imagined that he was treating such an important person.
Elsewhere,
Gina, Adrianna, and Aranza are at the cafeteria. They know Martin, Aurelio, and Antonio have gone to the police. They are nervous. Today the Pandora’s Box will be opened. Everything will be out in the open. Adrianna says that she wonders how her aunt and Antonio's grandparents will react since they really supported Isabella and her friends. Gina says that she thinks that they will probably still not change because they are so full of hate. Aranza asks them where they will live. Adrianna says that she will probably go to the mansion in the short term.
Both Gina and Aranza look at her like she is crazy. Aranza says that Helena is evil, and there is no knowing what she might do to the children. Adrianna says that they have a point, but she doesn't really have a choice. Gina tells Adrianna that she can live with Hector. Adrianna says that it isn't really an option either because she knows that Alejandro won't give in to divorce easily and will use that against her. Gina admits that's a possibility, but the children also have to live in a safe environment, and living with Helena isn't a good idea.
Adrianna says that if there isn't any other option she will have to live with Hector. Aranza looks at Gina, and asks her, what about her. Gina says she will live with Antonio again. She adds that it will be tricky because she too has the same concerns, because of Horacio. She adds that she is also thinking of what she will tell the children. Adrianna says that she too is afraid of the confusion the children will feel because of everything that is happening.
Meanwhile, in John's room,
The doctor still shocked, asks himself if the man before him is Gabriel Montes De Alba. He then immediately dismisses the idea, saying Gabriel has been dead for around twenty-one years. John looks at the doctor's reaction and tells himself that there is something, that the doctor, Hector, Gina, and Anna Patricia know and aren't telling him. He says that he has to know what that is. To diffuse the shock, the doctor asks John if the flashbacks are becoming more frequent. John says they are and adds that they are becoming more vivid as well.
He adds that he thinks his name is Gabriel, and his daughter was named Gabriela after him. The doctor's face turns even paler. He says to himself that in the thirty years, he has been in his job this would qualify as the most extraordinary occurrence he has ever seen. He then asks John if he remembers the twins' mother. John pauses and remembers an earlier flashback he had last week. He tells the doctor that the previous week he had a flashback in which, he was alone in an office, and he rolled up his sleeve, and he looked at a tattoo, of the name Becky, and said that he would work hard to provide for the children and raise them well.
He says that isn't much to go by and he doesn't know whether the name is a short name or a name on its own. He adds that what he wants to first find out is what happened to his children. The doctor says to himself that Becky could be the short name for Rebecca Lopez Montes De Alba, the twins' mother. He then asks John what he thinks could have happened to the twins' mother. John says based on his flashbacks, she is most likely dead. He says that she isn't in any of them.
He adds that he can remember another woman but he is sure she isn't the twins' mother. Dr. Alves then asks him what he thinks happened to the twins. John says that every memory he has of them ends when they are around six. He says that his memory is coming back slowly, and mostly jumbled up, and so he can't form a full concrete picture. Dr. Alves says to himself that if John is told that Hernan and Gabriela are dead, he could lose his sanity again, and that would undo the progress, the team has made, with his recovery.
Meanwhile, Antonio, Martin, and Aurelio have arrived at the nearby police station with the evidence and they hand it in, for investigations to begin. They are all relieved, and want justice, for Gina, Adrianna, the children, and most importantly for Emma.
Elsewhere, at the hospital,
Hector tries to move again but the pain, especially in his legs, is unbearable. While trying to move again, he hears the door open. It's Clara. She quickly moves to him, when she sees the pain and discomfort he is in. Clara tells him that he needs to relax, and rest otherwise he will be bedridden for a long time. Hector says that he needs to support and protect Adrianna and his sisters, and right now he feels useless.
Clara tells him that he isn't useless and that everyone understands what he is going through and they don't expect much from him at that moment. Hector cries, and Clara hugs him, just like when he was younger. Hector has a flashback from he was nine, and he hurt himself after falling from a bike. He was crying and Clara was comforting him. She reminds him that she will always love him and be there to support him.
Back in John's room,
John tells Dr. Alves that he thinks the reason Hector and Gina have been so key in helping him recover is that they remind him so much of the twins. He adds that he is sure, wherever the twins are they are so much like them. Dr. Alves asks John just how much he knows about them. John admits that it isn't much because they don't discuss a lot about their past. He adds that they probably went through some kind of childhood trauma that still scars them.
John tells Dr. Alves that he has to find out where his twins are, or he will never have peace in his life. Dr. Alves face momentarily turns pale, and John is quick to note that. He says to himself that if he ever had doubts about the doctor, Anna Patricia, Hector, and Gina knowing something about him then the doctor's reaction confirms it all. He adds that he just wants them to stop trying to protect him and to tell him the truth about his identity. He adds that he is well enough to deal with whatever the truth is.
Back at the hospital,
There is a knock in Hector's room, and then a doctor enters. Hector says that he wants to walk a bit because he is tired of staying in bed the whole day. He then looks at the faces of both his grandmother and the doctor and asks them what's wrong with him. Clara puts an arm around him, but no one tells him anything. The doctor tells him that the injuries though quite serious luckily didn't seriously damage any organs internal or external.
Hector says that is good and asks him when he can move a bit, probably walk around and have a bit of fresh air. The doctor says that there were a few complications. Hector takes a deep breath and asks what those are. The doctor says that he was beaten very badly. He adds that the shot on the foot was even more serious because it found an already injured body.
He tells Hector that his nerves, have been damaged, and he has temporarily lost the ability to walk. Hector is shocked. Why did this happen to him? Why now, when everything was going on very well? They had just discovered what Alejandro, Marianna, and the rest of their friends had done, and he was going to rebuild the relationship he had with Adrianna.
Elsewhere
Dr. Alves is in his office. As he often does, he thinks about the relationship between Hector, Gina, and John. He wonders why they love him so much. He says that they have gone above and beyond what people would do for a stranger. He wonders if Hector, Gina, and Anna Patricia know that John is Gabriel Montes De Alba, and if so, for how long they have known.
He adds that their bond with him is so strong, and he doesn't understand it. He asks himself if the reason they are helping him is that they know who he is and are touched by the story, or because he reminds them of somebody close to them. He adds that one thing is clear and, it is that things are about to get very interesting.
Elsewhere,
John is in his room. He is thinking about what he has been able to remember so far. He asks himself as he has often done, just how Hector and Gina are connected to him. He adds that Hector, Gina, Anna Patricia, and the doctor are all acting strangely around him. He says that Dr. Alves reacted as if he knew him when he mentioned his twins' names. He adds that he is sure that there is something about himself that they aren't telling him. He says that he may remember the twin's names, but that is only the starting point.
He adds that there is so much more for him to remember before he can regain his identity and live a normal life. He says that for a start he has to figure out who the other woman and the little girl (Adrianna) are. He says that he has a feeling that, he talked to someone about the tattoo, but he can't quite remember. He adds that he has recovered quite well but when it comes to regaining his memory especially, remembering about his children, his mind just refuses to progress.
Later at Montes De Alba Inc.,
People are having lunch, but this is clearly not an ordinary day. There are a lot of murmurs as people watch the police cars come in. Everyone asks themselves the same questions. Who have they come for? Who is going to be arrested?
