EPISODE 93

 

Back at Armando and Luisa's house,

There is a lot of celebration after the announcement, of the news of the upcoming baby. Clara says that one of the children must give a short speech of congratulations. Gina and Martin look at Hector, who glares at them. Clara scolds them both and tells them to offer themselves and not to speak for somebody else.

 

Hector who is carrying his daughter, Diana (who is, in reality, Gisela Paulina because the children were switched) tells Clara not to mind them (Gina and Martin) and says that he will give a speech. Antonio tells himself that it is this homely family environment that he loves most about being part of a big crazy family. Hector then gives his congratulations speech.

 

Elsewhere,

Isabella and Alejandro have joined Horacio at the country club. They are meeting to discuss how to handle Emma. Alejandro says since they have already agreed that Marianna is a liability because she cares too much about Martin and they are keeping her out of their plans, they have to move on and decide what to do about Emma. Horacio says that for as long as Emma is alive she is a liability and can always talk and cause trouble. Isabella agrees and says that they should get rid of her because they have come too far to lose everything.

 

Back at the house,

Gina and Luisa are in the kitchen. Gina asks her why she looks so worried. Luisa sighs and admits that she is worried about the baby. Gina asks her why. Luisa says that while she (Gina) is still young enough to run around after her son and niece, she (Luisa) is way past taking care of young children. Gina hugs her and tells her that it is scary and might be hard, but they will be there for her.

 

Two weeks and some days later,

It is a Tuesday night and Emma is walking down the street back to her house, after coming from the shop when someone appears from another corner. She ignores them and moves on until she exits the clearing. A black car comes to a stop near her and it is opened. A man dressed in black comes out.

 

Emma is very scared? Could they be Horacio's people? Just then, the man from the alley puts a gun to her head and tells her to get inside the car without uttering a word. The one from the car tells her to hand over her bag. She does and he gets her phone and throws it. Emma is then pushed into the car.

 

On Wednesday morning, at Montes De Alba Inc.,

Martin is in the hallways and calls Gina to ask her if she has seen Emma or heard from her. Gina is at her desk. Gina says she hasn't. She adds that she also tried to call Emma but couldn't find her. Martin asks Gina to call him if she hears anything. Gina says she will. After ending the call, Martin puts his head up and frowns when he sees Marianna. She too isn't pleased to see him. He greets her but calls her a witch. When Marianna frowns he smiles.

 

Marianna tells him she will not stoop to his level. Martin ignores her and says that one day they will all be free from her poison. Marianna tries to hit him but he grabs her hand. She looks at him with a bit of fear in her. Martin smiles then lets her go. Marianna watches him leave and then tells herself that Isabella, Alejandro, and Horacio are crazy for thinking she would love somebody as irritating as Martin. She adds that she cannot even stand being in his presence.

 

Meanwhile, Hector is at work,

Gina calls Hector and asks her if he might know where Emma is. She then tells him what Martin said. Hector says he doesn't. Gina says that she has a bad feeling about this. Hector tells her to relax.

 

Elsewhere,

Helena tries calling Carlos but cannot find him. She says that he is probably chasing Anna Patricia, as usual. She tells herself that she has to deal with that.

 

A few days pass during which they still don't find Emma. They go to the police to report the case. Martin is devastated. Where is Emma? Anna Patricia is by her son's side through it all.

 

On Friday,

Helena is at Anna Patricia, Clara's and Ramon's house, early in the morning. Anna Patricia opens the door when she hears a knock on the door and frowns. She asks Helena what she wants. Helena ignores her and bursts into the house. Anna Patricia tells her to leave. Helena looks around, with disdain. She then turns and tells Anna Patricia to leave Carlos alone. Anna Patricia rolls her eyes. She cannot believe that they are still having that conversation.

 

It has been over two years, and she has already made it clear that she isn't interested in Carlos. Anna Patricia, says she is busy and doesn't have time to fight over garbage. Helena tells her she is just jealous, bitter, and lonely, but she should leave her husband alone. Anna Patricia says that she isn't bitter neither is she desperate, and she has too much dignity to fight over someone like Carlos, who is nothing more than a murderer, and who will chase anything in a skirt.

 

Helena tells her to respect her husband and tries to hit Anna Patricia but Anna Patricia defends herself and hits her instead. Helena calls her crazy and says that she will pay for that. Anna Patricia has had enough of Helena's craziness and takes a broom that was nearby and threatens to hit Helena. Clara goes out to see what all the commotion is all about. She is shocked to see Anna Patricia with a broom and Mrs. Helena there. Clara asks what is going on. Helena tells her to ask her husband stealing daughter.

 

Clara glares at Mrs. Helena, just as Ramon comes out to see what all the fuss is about. Clara says that she knows her daughter well and Anna Patricia is incapable of stealing Carlos. Clara then continues and says that her (Helena’s) husband isn't a catch and is nothing to boast about and will hit on any live female. Despite the situation, Anna Patricia smiles at her mother. The woman is a warrior. Ramon orders Helena out.

 

Helena says that she is one of the most powerful people in the city and that she can go wherever she wants. Ramon tells her that she might own the city, but he decides who is welcome and who isn't welcome in his house and that she should never come again. Anna Patricia holds the broom and says that she is ready to give her a good thrashing. Helena glares and leaves.

 

Much later, Gina goes to visit John with Hector, just like they would on any other day. They are waiting for him in the garden and are talking about the scandal that Helena caused at their grandparent's house. Hector says that he knows their aunt too well, and is sure she isn't in love with Carlos because he isn't her type anyway. Gina agrees and says that their aunt definitely isn't in love with Carlos and that she is too good for him anyway. They continue talking about it and don't notice John until he is near them. Gina turns and looks at him in shock. He has a somewhat dark look in his eye.

 

Elsewhere,

Aurelio and Aranza are in his house. He comes and finds her in the kitchen, and asks her if she is okay because she had a faraway look. Aranza says she was just thinking about the scandal that Helena caused earlier that day and Emma's disappearance. Aurelio says it has been a weird day. He says that he is sure his aunt isn't in love with Carlos because she has far too much class to be. He then looks at Aranza and says that he is sorry for insinuating that her mother has no class.

 

Aranza assures him that she isn't offended. She says that they both know what a remarkable woman his aunt is while her mother is a devil in sheepskin. She adds that she also knows how much of a womanizer Carlos is. Aurelio agrees. He says he is curious to know how long this drama has been going on because his aunt is very proud and quite stubborn.

 

Meanwhile, Carlos is in his room in the mansion. He is still smarting from the fracas Helena caused earlier that day. It is now all out in the open. He tells himself that he will still get Anna Patricia.

 

Back at the mental hospital,

John has folded his hands and looks from Hector to Gina. He asks them what they were talking about Anna Patricia and somebody else. Gina looks at her brother. She then has a flashback of when they were children, and they had done something wrong. Their father sat them down in a corner until they were ready to talk. She then comes back to the present. John is still looking at both of them and is waiting for an explanation, a no-nonsense look on his face. Hector tells himself that he fully gets why both his sisters are so stubborn and insistent, they are copies of their father.

 

Gina looks at her brother, waiting to follow his guide. She then looks at her father. He had the same look Aranza had when she was determined to do/ know something, and she was going to raise a storm about it if she didn't get her way. Hector says they were talking about a scandal someone caused at their aunt's house. John insists he knows what he heard, and they mentioned someone being interested in their aunt. Hector takes a deep breath and says that somebody came and warned their aunt to keep off her husband.

 

Back at Aurelio's house,

Aranza says what worries her most is Emma's disappearance, and how Martin is handling everything. She adds that she is worried about Emma's safety. Aurelio says that he too has a weird feeling about Emma's disappearance. He agrees that the whole disappearance is weird and he cannot help but think of what Gina and Martin said about Emma acting weird in the last few days to her disappearance.

 

Meanwhile back at the mental hospital,

Hector, has just finished explaining to his father the drama that Helena caused at Clara and Ramon's house. He asks them if they are sure their aunt doesn't love that man. Gina says she is sure. She adds that Carlos is a very bad person, and her aunt is far too good for him. She adds that he seems to have been after her for a while and was still after her even after she rejected him.

 

Later at night,

Carlos is in his study at the Montes De Alba mansion when Helena bursts into the room and says that they have to talk. Carlos looks at her but says nothing. Helena asks him if he is listening to her. Carlos says that he is. He asks her why she had to go and cause such a scandal at the tenement house. Helena looks at him like he is crazy.

 

She asks him why he is after that cheap floozy, and why he has to embarrass her so publicly. Carlos tells her to stop being so melodramatic, and nagging. He adds that he will do as he wishes. Helena says that he will not cheat on her with that classless woman. Carlos tells her that she is crazy and leaves. Helena says that he is hers and hers alone and she won't lose him to anyone.
