EPISODE 92

 

                                                       

Meanwhile, John, Aranza, and Gina are in the garden. They are sitting on a bench. Aranza looks at him and asks him why he looks so stressed. He says that he was just thinking about his treatments and if he will ever recover. Gina tells him to relax because in time it will happen. John says that he has lost so many years of his life and what he wants is to remember who he is. Aranza says that Gina is right and soon enough he will go back to his old life. John says that he does want to regain his memory and regain his life but with changes.

Aranza asks him what he is talking about. Gina tells Aranza not to be nosy and to respect people's privacy. Aranza turns and sulks at Gina, then says that she isn't nosy. John tells them that it isn't a problem because soon enough they will know the truth. Gina asks him what truth he means. John first tells her to bring her hands closer. Gina looks at her father, suspiciously but does as he says. He says that so many years have passed and if he remembers who he is, and who the children in his memories are and reconnects with his family, there will be changes. He adds that for example if he was married, his wife has since moved on after so many years and he should as well.

Aranza says she still has no idea what he means. Gina smiles. She has an idea, where the conversation is going. John says that Anna Patricia is a beautiful woman, and a wonderful person and she will be his wife someday, hopefully soon. Aranza looks at him shocked. Even though she expected it, Gina is still surprised by her father's declaration. He looks at her and asks if her aunt isn't a wonderful person. Gina agrees that Anna Patricia is a wonderful person.

Sometime later,

Aurelio was at his parent's house,

During dinner, he looks at each of them and then asks what it was that they wanted to tell him. Luisa looks at her son, her pride and Joy. How will he take it? She walks up and sits near him, and holds his hands. Aurelio says that he is getting afraid, of how they are acting. Luisa takes a deep breath and tells him that she is pregnant. Aurelio's eyes open wide. He did not see that coming. He folds his hands but stays quiet. Luisa asks him how he feels. He says that he is shocked, and didn't expect this, because he thought they were past childbearing age.

Aurelio doesn't know exactly how to feel. Why would his parents want another child now? Didn't they have nearly twenty years after he was born, to have another one, and even before that? Are they trying to replace him in their hearts now that he is an adult? Do they regret having only one child? Do they blame him for anything? Aurelio stands up and says he needs some time by himself to process everything. Luisa tries to stop him but Aurelio ignores her and leaves. Armando tells her to give him some time to process everything.

Meanwhile at Antonio's house,

Isabella goes into the study where Antonio had come to get something. She locks the door. She asks him what Aranza is doing there. Antonio sighs. He knows that she is here to cause trouble as usual.

He tells her that Aranza is family to him and can come whenever she wants. Isabella tells him that she doesn't want to see little Gina around. She adds that Aranza is so similar to Gina and she can't stand her. Antonio tells her that she is crazy and he isn't in any mood to entertain her. Before Isabella can continue getting on his nerves, he quickly walks past her.

Later, Emma is at her house,

She just cannot handle the weight of everything that she knows. She says to herself that Adrianna, Gina, Antonio, and Hector have been lied to, and deserve to know the truth. She then says that Horacio, Marianna, Isabella, and Alejandro are completely evil. She then remembers Gina telling her of how Horacio threatened and blackmailed her into marrying him. She picks up a Biro and writes on a piece of paper. She stops, looks at her phone, and then continues.

The next day, on Friday,

Aurelio goes to work early. He still cannot forget what his parents told him. They are having another child. He is at the cafeteria, sitting alone. Just then Antonio comes in and asks to sit down. Aurelio says it's okay.

Elsewhere,

Martin goes to the office garden when he runs into Marianna. He folds his hands and smirks. Marianna ignores him. He asks her if she is out to buy herbs for her spells. Marianna looks at him and asks him if he wants her and if his girlfriend has bored him. Martin tells her, not even in her wildest dreams because he can't stand airheads or witches. Marianna asks him why he always has to disturb her and call her a witch, whenever they meet.

Martin shrugs and says that it's not a lie because she has the personality and manners of a witch. Marianna raises her hands to hit him but he catches her hand. Marianna looks at him and frowns. Martin frowns a bit as well. What is it about Marianna that gets to him? Martin and Marianna both stare at each other for a few seconds. Emma sees them from one of the office windows and remembers Horacio saying that Marianna has feelings for Martin. Could it be true?

Back at the cafeteria.

Antonio asks Aurelio if he is okay. Aurelio fidgets and looks down, then up then at Antonio. Antonio tells him that whatever it is, he will be there for him and will listen because they are family. Aurelio tells him that his mother is having another child. Antonio is shocked. He hadn't seen that coming. Aurelio says that was his reaction as well. He says he assumed they were too old to have another child. Antonio asks him how that makes him feel.

Elsewhere,

Gina runs into Isabella, in an empty hallway. Gina wants to avoid trouble but Isabella, as usual, wants it. Isabella folds her hands and glares at Gina. She tells her to keep away from Antonio. Gina smirks and tells her sarcastically that she must be happy because she has everything she wanted. Isabella tells Gina that her marriage is none of her business. 

Gina moves closer to Isabella and says that she should then leave her alone and work on her insecurities. Isabella then says that she can see that she (Gina) is now wilder than before and has no manners. Gina takes a deep breath, and tells Isabella, that she will not cause a scandal at work but they can sort this out elsewhere.

Back at the cafeteria,

Aurelio admits that he is and hurt and confused. He says he doesn't understand why they chose to wait for so long to have another child. He then says that maybe they didn't want another child but they then decided he wasn't enough, and changed their minds. Antonio says he understands how this might be confusing and hard to adjust to, but he needs to talk to his parents because the truth might be different from what he thinks.

Aurelio asks him what he is talking about. Antonio says that maybe they struggled with fertility and health issues for example. He adds that even if they changed their minds about having another child, his parents still loved him. Antonio says that the fact that they took in Hector and Gina proves that they have a huge capacity for love. Aurelio agrees.

On Saturday,

Gina is getting her son ready for the day. Horacio enters the room. He looks at her but she ignores him.

Later,

Aurelio goes to Antonio's house, while Gina, Adrianna, and Emma join Aranza at her and Aurelio's house. She has gone with her son. Horacio and Alejandro have people watching just in case either Hector and Antonio show up.

Elsewhere at Antonio's house,

Isabella, as usual, is cold towards Aurelio. She tells herself that Aurelio is too close to Gina for comfort. She says that she has come too far to let Gina have everything she has worked so hard to get.

Back at Aurelio and Aranza's house,

 Gina's son needs a diaper change and Emma offers to do it for her. Aranza says that she can go to the bedroom. Emma says that she cannot because that would be an invasion of privacy. Aranza says that it's not a problem and that what is important is that the baby is comfortable. Gina tells Emma that Aranza is stubborn and so she should agree. Aranza rolls her eyes at Gina and insists to Emma again that it's no problem.

Back at Hector and Marianna's house,

Hector is getting their daughter ready. Marianna says that she will go too. Hector says that she can't come because it is a family affair. Marianna reminds him that she is his wife. Hector looks at her and says that he doesn't want her combative ways at the family event. He adds that she can do whatever she wants as long as she stays out of his way because she is an embarrassment. Marianna says that she has to go so that she can take care of her daughter. Hector says that it will be unnecessary because he will take care of her.

Meanwhile at Aranza and Aurelio's house,

Emma has just changed the baby and kept a note and tape ( which are in a box) in a bag. She says to herself that in case of anything that is the insurance that will bring down Isabella and her friends.

Elsewhere, at the mental hospital,

John is in his room. He is getting frustrated. He asks himself how much longer before he gets his life back. He wonders if he will ever remember who he is.

Later at Armando's and Luisa's house,

The whole Ortiz family is there as well as Antonio. Gina feels uncomfortable with Antonio there. She understands he had to be there because he is part of the family as well, being Armando's nephew but it doesn't make things any easier. Antonio is just as uncomfortable. Gina is just as beautiful, as ever. He watches her carry her son and the child looks up at her and smiles. She smiles back at him. He tells himself that his beautiful wildflower is such a great mother, and he would love to be with her.

Elsewhere,

Horacio is at the country club when an associate of his comes and takes a seat near him. He pours himself a glass of alcohol and takes a long gulp. Horacio asks him for an update on Gina. The associate tells him that Antonio is also at Armando and Luisa's house. Horacio punches the table with his fist and tells himself that he will not lose Gina to Antonio again and that they will never get back together, not under his watch. He adds that Gina has a lot of explaining to do.

EPISODE 91

 

`

Sometime later, at Emma's house, she hears a knock on the door and goes to open it. She is shocked and afraid when an armed man barges into her house, followed by Horacio. She stares at them full of fear.

 

Meanwhile, John calls Aranza. She is always happy to hear from him. She cannot explain or understand how she feels around him. He makes her feel loved and protected, like the father she would have loved to have. She feels like they have so much in common. She asks him how he is doing.

 

He says he is fine, but he is just worried about the treatment not working. He says he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in the mental hospital. Aranza tells him to be calm and to relax, and that even if it doesn't work, they can always try again later. She says that it might not work on the first try but he should have faith.

 

Back at Emma's house,

She has been tied down and Horacio is sitting on a chair opposite her. Emma asks him what he wants. Horacio looks at her with menacing eyes. He says that knowing too much can be dangerous. Emma asks him what he is talking about. Horacio stands and walks the short distance towards her. He grabs her by the hair rather painfully and Emma winces. Horacio tells her that he isn't stupid and that she shouldn't waste his time. Horacio then adds that they both know what he is talking about. Emma is terrified and starts crying. She again asks Horacio what he wants.

 

Elsewhere, Clara and Luisa are at Armando and Luisa's home,

Clara gives Luisa a stern look and tells her to take good care of her grandchild. She then says that she is not going back to her home yet because she will be bored alone. She adds that she would rather spend more time with her. Luisa smiles. What a mother-in-law she has.

 

Back at Montes De Alba inc,

Carlos is in his office when he has a flashback, of Gabriel working at the office many years ago. He says that he will have the company. He says that he got rid of him and his two eldest children and he will do the same with Aranza and if necessary Helena.

 

Back at Emma's house,

Horacio tells her that unless she wants to die she should mind her own business. Horacio says that they can find her anywhere and getting rid of her will be easy. Emma says that she will keep quiet. Horacio tells her that he would rather have her dead but she is lucky that for some reason Marianna has a soft spot for Martin and wouldn't do anything to hurt him. Emma glares at Horacio. He then strokes her face and she recoils in disgust.

 

Later on in the night, at Armando and Luisa's house,

As they are having dinner. Armando asks her what the doctor said about his mother's health. Luisa says that his mother is healthy and fine. Armando looks at her again. He asks her if she is fine. She says she is. He says she looks different, a little pale. He asks her if his mother took her along in her meddling. Luisa says that she didn't.

 

She then takes a deep breath and says that she fainted and his mother dragged her to be checked. Armando smiles. He says that sounds like something his mother would do because she has always been particular about health. He then asks her what the doctor told her. Luisa fiddles and tells Armando to put his glass of water down then says that she is pregnant. Armando looks at her shocked.

 

The next day on Thursday,

At the hospital, John begins his treatment. They first show him footage and pictures of car accidents and car wreckages and watch for his reaction to each image. One particular image of a car rolling down and nearly reaching a river before bursting into flames catches his eye. The doctor notes that down.

 

They then show him pictures of different beverages, followed by pictures of his favorite brand ( they had learnt that when he told them himself). He looks at the pictures calmly. They then show him pictures of two random six-year-olds, one a boy, the other a girl, playing. He looks at those pictures even more keenly than he did with the other pictures.

 

Elsewhere at Montes De Alba inc,

Emma is back at work. Gina looks at her friend worried. What is it? Why is Emma acting so weird? Gina asks herself if Emma and Martin are having problems.

 

Meanwhile, Armando calls Aurelio. He then asks Aurelio if he is free later that evening. Aurelio says he is. Armando asks him if he can pass by for a little while because his mother needs to tell him something. Aurelio says that his mother told him that she took his grandmother for a check-up and then asks if his grandmother is okay. Armando assures Aurelio that his grandmother is okay and that no one is sick. Aurelio, then asks him what happened and his father says that they will talk later.

 

Meanwhile, Isabella, Alejandro, and Horacio are in Alejandro's office. Horacio has just updated them on his 'visit' to Emma's house. Isabella asks him if they think the threats will work on Emma and keep her quiet. Horacio says that they can never be sure, but the threats buy them some time, to decide whether to leave it at that or to kill her. He adds that if they do wait and then proceed, it will be easier to convince Marianna that they didn't kill her. Alejandro agrees that it's the best solution at the moment because Marianna and her soft spot for Martin could be a problem.

 

Meanwhile,

Hector walks over to the garden and finds Gina. He sits near her and asks her how she is. She says she's fine. Hector folds his hands and gives her an I don't believe your look. He says that he knows her too well and can tell when she is lying. Gina takes a deep breathe and looks at her brother. She says that she was just thinking about things. Hector asks her what exactly she was thinking about. Gina says that she was just thinking about what will happen in the future when everyone knows who they are.

 

Hector asks her if she means Adrianna, Antonio, and Aranza. Gina nods. Hector puts an arm around her. He says that it will be hard, because they will be hurt, but the two of them will get through it and anything else that comes together. Gina says she knows that but sometimes it gets so hard. She adds that the guilt every time she looks at Aranza, Antonio, or Adrianna is sometimes overwhelming. Hector says that he understands her. He then hugs her.

 

At the end of the day,

Emma is the last one in her office to leave. She is about to go, when Martin comes into the office, and asks her if she is alone. She says she is. She adds that she was just finishing up on a few things. Martin moves near her and looks at her. Emma asks him why he is looking at her so strangely. He asks her if she is fine. Emma increases the distance between them and says that she is fine, but she is just a little tired. Martin doesn't believe her and says that she has been acting weird since they went to the club, and the drunk person told her something.

 

Martin then asks her what that person told her that has her acting all weird. Emma remembers Horacio's threats, and when he said that if it wasn't for Marianna having feelings for Martin, she would be dead. Martin calls Emma, to bring her back to the present. He tells her that she can trust him with whatever it is she knows or is going through. Emma says that she knows that but she is fine. Martin kisses her and she kisses him back.

 

Elsewhere,

Antonio is still in his cubicle at the office. Each day living in the same house as Isabella is pure torture and hell. She drives him more insane each day. Just then Aranza calls him. He smiles then picks up. After she greets him. He pretends to be annoyed and asks her what she did this time. Aranza rolls her eyes and says that she is a good girl. She then asks him, if she could come over, and stay the night.

 

Antonio asks her what happened with Aurelio. Aranza says that nothing happened and that they are fine. She adds that Aurelio's parents wanted to talk to him, and she suggested he stays there overnight and spend some time with them. She also says that she didn't want to stay alone because it isn't fun. Antonio says that it's okay and that she is always welcome. He says someone needs to keep an eye on her so that she doesn't fall into mischief. Aranza tells him that he is nuts.

 

Sometime later the Mental hospital,

Aranza and Gina are with John, while Hector and Anna Patricia, are with the doctor getting updates. The doctor, says that so far so good. He adds that they showed him various pictures hoping to trigger memories and watch his reactions. The doctor then says that what stood out most is his reaction to being shown pictures of two 6-year-old children ( one boy, one girl) and his reaction to a particular movie scene where a car rolled down a hill, and burst into flames, before reaching a river. Anna Patricia asks why these two particularly stood out.

 

The doctor, says that from his reaction to the accident, they believe that the video they showed him is close to what happened to him if not the same thing and that somewhere in his subconscious, he knows or remembers the accident that nearly killed him. Hector is a little shocked and afraid. He asks himself what would happen if his father remembered everything at that moment. He also asks himself how much his father could remember. The doctor continues and says from John's reaction to the pictures of the two children, it is most likely that they reminded him of his children.

 

Hector asks the doctor if there was any reason he chose to use six-year-olds. The doctor says that since John is very close to both him and his cousin Gina, he used their ages as the basis for going back and estimating what age the children John talks about would have been around the time of his accident. The doctor says that from what they have had John talk about the children at the time of his accident they would have been about 5 or 6, years. Hector is both afraid and happy. Is his father almost cured? What happens if he remembers who he is at that moment? What if someone else discovers who he is? The doctor then hands him a copy of John's report.

EPISODE 90

 

Later that night, Luisa is at her and Armando's house. She is in the kitchen, having a glass of water. She feels a little dizzy and then places a hand on her forehead. She asks herself, what could be happening to her, as she has been feeling a little faint of late.

 

The next day on Tuesday, at night, Emma was at a club with Martin, when he excuses himself to go to the washroom.

 

Elsewhere at the club, Two people are enjoying drinks, near Martin and Emma's table. One of them has had too much to drink while the other stands and heads to the lavatory. After that, the drunken friend turns around and he sees Emma. He wakes up and sits near her. Emma looks at him horrified.

 

Meanwhile at Aurelio's house,

He is there with Aranza when he notices, that she is quieter than usual. He asks her what's wrong. She says she is fine and was thinking about her siblings, and what could have happened to them. Aurelio then hugs her. She says that the more time passes the more she believes that her family is cursed, just as people are saying.

 

Aurelio tells her not to listen to people's superstitious beliefs. Aranza says the tragedy of what happened to her father, brother and sister sometimes makes her think otherwise. Aurelio puts a comforting arm around her. Aranza says that what makes it harder to deal with is the fact that there has been no sign of them so she can't have closure.

 

Back at the club,

Emma looks suspiciously at the drunk man, beside her. He tells her that he did something bad. Despite the situation, Emma is very curious. She tells herself that hearing his confessions should be quite fun.

 

At Horacio and Gina's house,

Gina hangs up the phone after she finishes talking to Hector. She then turns her attention back to her son, Hannibal. Horacio, who was in the room, says that she should not be so close to Hector. Gina looks at him like he is crazy. She says that Hector, is more than family, he is her best friend. Horacio says that she doesn't need Hector, because he (Horacio) is her husband and he should be all she needs. Gina gives Horacio a dirty look but otherwise ignores him. She tells herself that she will not engage him in front of their son.

 

Meanwhile back at the club,

Martin is walking back to where he sat with Emma and he sees her looking shocked. The drunk man is still sitting near her. Martin walks up to her and asks her if she is fine and if she is being bothered. Emma stammers but says she is fine and that no one is bothering her at all.

The drunk man meanwhile rambles on and on about him being a bad person and about how switching the babies was wrong. He adds that the two women could have been hurt. Just then, his friend comes to Martin and Emma's table and apologizes for his behavior. He greets both Emma and Martin and gives Emma a weird look. He then helps his friend back to their table.

 

Back at Horacio and Gina's house, Gina is looking to avoid trouble, but Horacio is actively looking to cause it. He has never been comfortable with the tight bond between Hector and Gina. It makes him bothered probably even jealous. He looks at Gina and says to himself that the bond she has with Hector, is probably even stronger than what she had with Antonio. Horacio tells Gina that she should cut back on spending time with Hector and focus on their son, and the children they will have in the future.

 

Gina looks at Horacio irritated and asks him what his problem is with Hector. Horacio says that he just doesn't approve of her tight bond and reliance on Hector. Gina glares at Horacio. She then tells herself, that she has no over-reliance on her bossy brother, who thinks he is smarter than her. She, however, tells Horacio that he is the one who needs to get hobbies and get a life because he is the one who is turning non-issues into scandals.

 

Back at the club,

Emma is still edgy, over what the drunk man confessed to her. She says that she is sure that it's the same case because what happened is too bizarre and rare. She plays the confession in her head again. The drunk man tells her how he was hired by Alejandro to get drugs to trigger the labors of Adrianna and Gina and the baby switch. He added that he knew someone who worked in the hospital's chemist and knew about such things. He then tells her about his role in the whole plan.

 

Meanwhile, at the mental hospital,

John is in his room. He has flashbacks, of the first time he met Anna Patricia and of all the times they have spent together since then. He says that she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and he will marry her soon. He says that he will recover and form a family with Anna Patricia, Hector, Gina, and Aranza.

 

Meanwhile at the club,

Martin twitches his hand in front of Emma's face. He has been telling her something, but she hasn't responded. He asks her if she is fine. Emma insists that she is fine. Martin looks at her skeptically. He asks her what the drunk person told her and if he hurt her. Emma insists that he didn't hurt her. She adds that he wasn't the kind of person who got violent when drunk but was the kind who gave too much information. Martin asks her what she was told. Emma says that it was nothing important just the ramblings of some random drunk.

 

Meanwhile back at Horacio and Gina's house,

Horacio is in the study when he receives a call. The caller is the drunk man's friend, and he tells him of his friends' drunken rambling. Horacio then panics. He tells the man that he will deal with the issue.

 

Meanwhile, Hector is in his house,

He is in the living room. He watches his daughter sleep by his side, then thinks of Adrianna. Just then as if conjured up by the devil, Marianna comes out of her room to start a war. He ignores her hoping she leaves him alone.

 

The next day on Wednesday,

Emma calls Gina in the morning. Gina immediately senses the distress in her friend. Gina asks her if she is okay. Emma says she is. She doesn't even know where to begin, to tell Gina and Adrianna the truth.

 

Meanwhile, Isabella is in the bathroom. She is done showering and has her towel wrapped around herself. She goes back to the discussion she had with Horacio the previous day when he called to tell her that one of their most trusted henchmen drunkenly blabbed out what they did. Isabella says that they must do something immediately before Emma tells Gina or Adrianna anything. Horacio asks her what she means. Isabella calmly says that they should get rid of Emma. Isabella then comes back to the present and says that she isn't going to jail and neither is she handing Antonio over to Gina on a silver platter.

 

Sometime later,

Luisa is with Claudia in the hospital. She came to bring her mother-in-law to the hospital for a scheduled check-up. They had just finished their visit when Luisa has one of her dizzy spells. Clara looks at her half worriedly and half suspiciously, but helps her to a chair. She then asks Luisa if she is fine. Luisa insists she is. Clara looks at her in an I -don't- believe -you- manner.

 

She says that after two children and four grandchildren, she can tell when someone is downplaying health problems or is afraid of the hospital. Luisa insists that she is fine and that it isn't a big deal. Clara asks her how long the dizzy spells have been going on. Luisa keeps quiet. Clara puts on her stern face and tells Luisa that she loves her like her own daughter and therefore she will do the same thing she would do to Anna Patricia and insist that she sees the doctor.

 

Meanwhile at Montes De Alba Inc,

Marianna and Isabella are in Alejandro's office discussing the issue about Emma knowing what they did and how to solve it. Isabella says that they should scare her or silence her. Marianna asks her what exactly that means. Isabella says that they have come too far to lose everything because of some insignificant person. Marianna asks her if that means killing Emma. Isabella folds her hand and smiles.

 

Elsewhere at the company,

Antonio is going into one of the meeting rooms when he runs into Gina. He cannot help but stare at her. She is still as breathtaking as ever. Gina as well looks at him. She then snaps out of it and tries to pass him but Antonio won't let her. He holds her hand. Gina looks at him and tells him to leave her alone. He smiles at her and asks her what she was doing. Gina says that she wasn't doing anything and tries to leave but he still holds her.

 

Meanwhile at the hospital,

Luisa finally admits to Clara that she has been feeling dizzy for a week. Clara folds her hands and asks her if she has told Armando. Luisa says she hasn't. Clara looks at her reproachingly and then says that they should have her checked because it is better to be safe than sorry.

Luisa still says that she is fine and says that she will take something for it the next day.

 

Clara shakes her head and tells Luisa that she should learn to be more careful about health matters as she becomes older if she wants to reach her (Clara's) age. Luisa decides to give in; she knows how stubborn Clara is. Clara holds her hand and says that she will be there to walk with her.

 

Meanwhile, back at Montes de Alba Inc, Alejandro has returned to his office and rejoined Marianna and Isabella. Marianna asks if it will be necessary to go that far. She says they can just bribe or threaten the people carrying out the DNA tests and that no one can prove they drugged Adrianna and Gina. Alejandro says that she has become very soft.

 

Isabella tells Marianna that she is more concerned about not hurting Martin than the fact that they could lose everything. Marianna rolls her eyes. She denies that she is concerned about him, and says that they need to draw a line. She says that murder is going too far. Isabella sighs and then says that they will. Alejandro looks at her like she is crazy.

 

Elsewhere, Gina looks at Antonio,

She says that she had left something and was coming for it. She tries to go but Antonio won't let her. She tells him to leave her alone because she doesn't want any trouble with Horacio. Antonio clenches his hand and says to himself that he doesn't care about that fool. How he has missed having Gina that close. She has been and will always be the only woman he loves. Unable to stop himself, Antonio leans in and kisses Gina, and she too kisses him back.

 

Back at the hospital,

Luisa is in the doctor's office. The doctor had done some tests and asked her questions. She looks at the doctor and asks him how she is. The doctor assures her that she is fine. Luisa asks her what caused the dizzy spells. The doctor says that such symptoms are normal considering she was pregnant. Luisa is completely shocked. Her, pregnant? She has had fertility problems her whole life and it is a miracle she even had Aurelio.

 

Luisa says that it must be a mistake; she says that she is too old, and has been struggling with fertility issues. The doctor asks her if she has a child. Luisa says that she has a son who is almost twenty-two and that getting him was a struggle. She adds that she tried getting a second child for years until she gave up. The doctor says that it is a miracle that even he has no answers for.

 

Back at Montes De Alba inc,

Marianna has left Alejandro and Isabella alone. Alejandro asks Isabella if she is serious about leaving Emma alone. Isabella says that she isn't going to risk losing everything they worked hard for. She says that she only said she would leave Emma alone to hoodwink Marianna because she is too soft. She adds that Horacio is also on the same page as them. Alejandro says that speaking of becoming soft; he thinks that Marianna is going to become a liability to them. Isabella says she knows and that is why they will keep her out of this one.

 

Elsewhere,

Gina reluctantly pulls away from Antonio and says that their kiss was a mistake. Antonio holds up her face with his finger and says that what they feel for each other isn't a mistake and isn't wrong. Gina says there isn't any point in starting anything because there isn't anything they can do about it. Antonio runs a finger down her hair and kisses her again. The past two years have been pure torture.

 

Back at the hospital,

Luisa is with Clara on a bench. Clara holds her hands and asks her what, the doctor said. Luisa takes a deep breath pauses then says that she is pregnant. Clara is shocked. She however quickly recovers and hugs Luisa. She then says that it is good news because that is another grandchild to pamper and spoil. Luisa says that she isn't so sure, because she has no idea how her son and husband will react. Clara tells her not to worry, and that they might be shocked but they will be happy.

 

Later Gina is having lunch with Adrianna,

Adrianna asks her where Emma is. Gina says that Emma felt unwell and didn't come to work that day. Adrianna then asks her what John's doctor told them concerning his treatment. Gina explains what the treatment was about. She then adds that they are just afraid of it failing. Adrianna asks her what happens if the treatment fails and if he will get worse.

 

Gina says that if it fails he is unlikely to worsen; he will just remain the same. Adrianna says that they shouldn't worry too much and that they should hope for the best. She then asks herself why it is that Hector and Gina are worried about a stranger and have done so much for him.

 

Meanwhile at the hospital,

John is in his room. He thinks about what the doctor said about the new treatment they plan to use on him. He is afraid of getting worse on one hand but he also wants to get better. He says that he wants nothing more than to recover, to know who he really was, and to build a life by Anna Patricia's side.

EPISODE 89

 

Back at Hector and Marianna's house,

Marianna then moves away from Alejandro. She asks him if his wife is satisfying him properly. He doesn't answer that and instead says that he came there for one thing. He adds that they both want the same thing. Marianna said that they had a common goal that they achieved and nothing binds them anymore. Alejandro says that they both know that is a lie and kisses her.

Sometime later, Aranza and Emma arrive at Gina and Horacio's house. Horacio isn't happy to see Aranza there. He has never liked her because of her connection to Antonio. The interaction is tense and awkward. Horacio leaves, the ladies and Hannibal. They get to chatting and talking happily.

Meanwhile, Horacio tells one of his people to update him if anyone else comes in.

Elsewhere, at Clara and Ramon's house, Anna Patricia is alone, as both her parents have gone out. Helena arrives to bother her, by throwing one of her jealous fits because of Carlos. Anna Patricia tells her to leave because she is in no mood to deal with her.

On Monday morning, Gina receives a call from the doctor, at the mental hospital. He wants her, Hector, and Anna Patricia to meet to discuss John. Gina is worried about John and asks the doctor if he is okay. The doctor assures Gina that he is fine. He says that he just wants to discuss a new therapy with them before trying it out on John.

He adds that he will talk to Hector and Anna Patricia as well. Gina says that's no problem. Horacio looks at Gina. As always he had never been happy, with Gina's visiting of John. He had tried; to prevent her, but Gina was always so stubbornly adamant, saying that John was non-negotiable.

At Hector's house, he was, with his daughter, in the sitting room, before work when Marianna comes into the room. As always she is out spoiling for a fight. She asks Hector, why he has moved his things, into their daughter's room. Hector says that it isn't the place nor time to solve their problems. Marianna isn't willing to let things go. She folds her hands and continues glaring at him. She insists that they are going to discuss at that moment, whether he likes it or not.

Hector stands, carrying their daughter, and glares at her. He tells Marianna that she knows very well that their marriage is built on nothing more than lies and blackmail and it is a sham. Marianna tells him that he doesn't have to make things harder. Hector moves near her and says that she is a despicable human being. He then leaves with their daughter. Marianna tells herself that, it doesn't matter what he thinks because they will be together forever.

Meanwhile at Antonio's house,

He is dressed, and ready for the day. He sees his green perfume box. He picks it up and turns it around in his hand. He then has flashbacks of Gina, from their first kiss, the time he asked her to be his girlfriend, the first time they made love, and much more. He tells himself that, he will never be able to look at something so richly green and not remember her. He adds that he will always love her. Just then as if conjured up by the devil, Isabella comes into the room.

She is furious when she sees him looking at the perfume box because she knows that he is thinking of Gina. She grabs it and throws it on the floor. Antonio tells her that she is completely crazy. Isabella asks him how he expects her to react when he is still obsessed with 'that village girl'. Antonio doesn't even bother to deny anything. He tells Isabella that, she knows that he loves Gina, and that hasn't changed.

Later at the office, Adrianna is about to climb into a lift, to go two floors up, when she sees Hector in it. They look at each other, for a few seconds. Adrianna then enters. Hector greets her, and she returns his handshake awkwardly. Adrianna feels very awkward and uncomfortable. Hector gets more handsome by the day. She wants nothing more than for the uncomfortable ride to end. Hector isn't any more comfortable.

Adrianna is just as attractive then as she was, on the first day he saw her. He wants nothing more than to kiss her. They reach the floor they are both going, but unfortunately the lift jams and refuses to work. Hector tries and tries to open it but nothing happens. Adrianna panics and begins to shake. Hector looks at her and then hugs her. He comforts her and tells her that everything will be okay. She sobs and leans into his shoulder.

Meanwhile, Carlos and Helena are in Carlos' office. He tells her that now that Aranza is done with her studies, she is going to be a problem because she will want to take up her role. Helena says that Aranza is young and inexperienced, and cannot handle the company. Carlos says that she has Antonio around her, and he is very protective of her and very sharp as well. Helena tells him that Antonio is his son, and he should handle him.

Back at the lift,

Adrianna pulls away from Hector and says she is sorry for making a fool of herself. She continues and says that she has a fear of enclosed spaces. Hector smiles at her and says that he remembers that she is claustrophobic. He then gently strokes her face with one finger, as they look at each other.

Elsewhere at the company,

Gina, Emma, and Aranza are at the cafeteria, having tea. They are chatting away happily when Aurelio calls Aranza. She asks him if he is okay. He says he is. He asks, her where she is. She says that she is at the cafeteria with Gina and Emma. She asks him if there is a reason he is asking. He says that a lift malfunctioned and got stuck and there could be people in it, and he wanted to be sure, she wasn't in there. Aranza asks him if he is alone. He says that he is with Martin and Antonio. He then asks her if she knows where Hector and Adrianna are. Aranza says that she doesn't.

Back at the lift,

Hector and Adrianna kiss for some time, before she pulls away, and says that it isn't a good idea. She then increases the distance between them and stands as far away from him as she can. Hector tries to touch her but she glares at him.

Meanwhile, Emma and Gina look at Aranza curiously. Emma asks her what's going on. Aranza tells them that a lift, malfunctioned, and Aurelio wanted to know if she was in it. She adds that he is with Martin and Antonio. Gina is afraid. Aranza asks her if she is okay. Gina says that if the three of them are there and Antonio and Martin are with Aurelio, then there is a chance Hector or Adrianna is in the lift. Gina stands and takes a deep breath. She then (to herself) says that if anything happened to her brother, she would never be able to bear it.

Meanwhile, Carlos and Helena, are still in his office,

Carlos puts his phone down. Helena asks him who that was. He says that it was one of the supervisors, telling them that, a lift got stuck. Helena asks him if there were people in it. He says that they do not know that yet. He adds that it is being dealt with quickly, in case there are people and it becomes complicated.

Back at the lift,

Hector is trying, to get Adrianna, who has a hand on her forehead, to calm down. Her panicking will not help the situation. He tells her to take a deep breath and relax. Adrianna says that she cannot relax. She then asks (rhetorically) what Alejandro will think of this. She continues and says that he will think that she did it on purpose.

Hector clenches his hand, as he does whenever he thinks of Alejandro. He moves closer, to Adrianna and puts a finger, under her chin, and she looks at him. He tells her that it isn't the time to think about what Alejandro will think. He adds that they should be more concerned about staying calm until they are rescued. Adrianna calms down a little bit.

Meanwhile in Alejandro's office,

He like everyone else has by now heard about the lift that got stuck. He calls Adrianna. Her phone goes unanswered. He gets worried. What if she is in there? He picks up the phone to make a call.

Back at the lift, Adrianna gets her phone and frowns. She has missed calls from Alejandro and Antonio. She cannot answer Alejandro's call with Hector in the room because it would be too awkward. She calls back Antonio. He asks her if she is fine and she says she is. Antonio tells her not to worry because the problem will be fixed as soon as possible. He then asks her if she is alone. Adrianna says she is with Hector.

Shortly after,

Like everyone else, Marianna and Isabella had also heard. Marianna tries to call Hector, but he doesn't pick up. She calls again and he looks at his phone and cuts it. Adrianna tells him to pick up, and he says it's not an important call, and that it's something he can reply to later. Adrianna tells herself that she knows that it is Marianna. The thought of Hector being with that snake, Marianna pained her too much, because despite her best effort not to, she still loved Hector. She watches him remain calm and composed.

Back at the Mental hospital,

John has taken a break and he was in his room. He has another flashback, in which, he is in an open ground with two small children, (both about 5 years old), a boy in his blue bicycle and a girl in her pink bicycle. He says (out loud) that he finds it frustrating, that he still can't remember who he is, or who the children were.

Meanwhile, the lift has finally been repaired. Alejandro gives Hector scathing looks as he and Adrianna leave the lift. Hector ignores him and looks sideways.

Meanwhile back at Carlos office,

They have just been told what happened in the lift. Helena says that she isn't surprised that Hector is involved because he and his cousin are nothing but trouble makers. She adds that he is there to cause trouble for Adrianna and Alejandro. Carlos asks her what she will do. Helena says that she won't get involved because it doesn't involve them.

A little while later,

Hector and Gina are in the garden. Hector, tells her that Alejandro is crazy and that he would never put Adrianna in danger. He adds that he doesn't understand how the lifts work anyway. Gina looks around and then puts an arm around her brother. She tells him she believes him. She says that she knows that he would not put anyone's life in danger. She then says that she knows his faults and strengths, and recklessness isn't one of them.

Hector smiles and rubs, her head. He then calls Gina his know-it-all baby sister. Gina pouts and tells him that, one he shouldn't call her baby sister, because he is only five minutes older than her, and two she isn't a know it all, because she happens to be the smarter sibling. Hector shakes his head and says her being smarter than him is debatable.

Meanwhile, Antonio is on his way to the lift, when he receives a call. He frowns. It is the last person he wants to hear from, his grandmother, Claudia. He knows that he cannot ignore her. His grandmother while not as evil as his father and grandfather has her own brand of crazy. The woman had a special way of getting on his nerves. He frowns again but picks it up.

Meanwhile, Aranza also receives a call. Her mother wants her to come to her office. Aranza frowns as well but says she will come.

Back with Antonio,

He has managed to get himself a private space. His grandmother wants to come and visit him on Saturday. Antonio says that it will be hard because he has plans with Aurelio that day. On hearing Aurelio's name, Claudia frowns. She then asks, him why he wants to hang around with 'that woman's brat. Antonio runs his hand through his hair. Doesn't his grandmother, ever get tired of all of that? Antonio tells her that Aurelio is his cousin, and he won't stop being close to him because, she is stubborn, stuck up, and prejudiced. Claudia lets out a gasp.

Meanwhile,

Aranza is in her mother's office.

She has sat down, and folded her arms, as she stares at her mother. Aranza then tells her mother to get to the point, because, she is busy. Helena looks at her daughter. Aranza was an almost spitting image of her in her early twenties but character-wise, she took after her father. Helena tells her that they should discuss, what happens now that she has finished university. Aranza doesn't say anything and lets her mother continue.

Back with Antonio,

He tells his grandmother that she can come and visit his son whenever she likes, but he is busy. Claudia reproaches him about ignoring his true family. Antonio tells her to stop being melodramatic. He says that he is simply enjoying what he didn't have growing up, having a brother or male cousin. Claudia complains some more, and Antonio tells her that unless she has something else to say, he is already drained from talking to her.

Back at Helena's office,

Helena continues speaking and says that she (Aranza) will be put as part of the executive board of directors. Aranza says that she doesn't only want to be an overseer but she also wants to understand how the company works as well.

Later that evening,

Anna Patricia, Aranza, Hector, and Gina are at the mental hospital. Anna Patricia and Hector are visiting John while Gina and Aranza are in the doctor's office. Aranza is worried and asks the doctor if John is okay. He tells them that John is fine. He adds that in the course of doing the regular tests they have been doing on John they have decided to modify his treatment. Gina asks him what he means.

The doctor says that in addition to the regular treatment, they will use shock therapy to trigger memories of his earlier life and the accident. Aranza asks what the risks of him worsening and becoming mentally unstable again are. The doctor tells them that risks will always be there, but John is very healthy both physically and mentally. He adds that they have waited for more than two years, to ensure that he is in the best state possible.

The doctor adds that staying in the current limbo state he is in isn't good for him in the long run because he will get frustrated and depressed over his amnesia which isn't good for his mental health. Gina and Aranza are scared but want what's best for their father. As he often does, the doctor asks himself why they care for the patient (John) so much.

EPISODE 88

 

On Friday,

Aranza goes to visit John alone. She cannot explain why, but something about him makes her feel, loved and protected. He takes one look at her and tells her to sit down. She smiles and then sits. He asks her what's bothering her. Aranza says that she is sad, because her favorite, people, aren't together and are unhappy. He tells her, it saddens him too. He says that they are, surrounded by a lot of evil people, but they have many good people around them as well.

 

He asks her what she is upto. Aranza looks at him surprised. She says that she doesn't understand him. John says that he thinks that she is up to something. Aranza pouts and says that she is an angel and a good girl. John looks at her like he doesn't believe her. He tells her that he has a feeling; he was just like her when he was her age. Aranza asks him what he means when he says that he was just like her.

 

John says that he had her, spunkiness, spontaneity, and sneakiness. Aranza says that she will keep out of their relationships because it isn't any of her business, and her involvement will only make things more complicated. She then adds that she wouldn't risk Isabella or Marianna taking their frustrations out on the children.

 

Meanwhile, at Antonio's house, Aurelio is playing with his nephew, when Isabella comes into the room. She gives him scathing looks, and goes and stands near him. Isabella goes straight to the point and asks him why he came. Aurelio looks at her, straight in the eye, and says he came to visit his cousin and nephew. Isabella tells him that she isn't an idiot and knows that he is there as Gina's spy. All this time, Aurelio is still looking at her. He tells her, that she is being ridiculous.

 

He says that yes he does think that Gina and Antonio belong together, but he doesn't intend to interfere, in what isn't his business. He adds that he wants to get closer to Antonio and Ricardo. Isabella remembers her earlier conversation with Antonio, where he didn't bother to deny, that he loved Gina.

 

She then tells herself, that Aurelio has the same traits of bluntness as the rest of his family. She then tells Aurelio that she is watching him, and leaves. Aurelio tells himself that she is a strange woman, because she wasn't even concerned with her son, and didn't even check up on him. He shakes his head and continues playing with Ricardo.

 

Back at the mental hospital,

John gets serious and asks Aranza if either Marianna or Isabella were capable of harming their children. Aranza says that she doesn't know, but given, what they have done in the past she doesn't know what to think. He looks a little worried, so she tells him to relax because she will handle it. His face then softens. Aranza then tells herself that, if her father was alive, he would be just like John, and that he would even be the same age. John still looks at her and then asks her what is bothering her this time.

 

She says that she was just thinking about her father. She says that it still pains her, that she never met him. He puts an arm around her and she starts to cry. Aranza says that maybe her life would have been better off. She adds that she doesn't know what it means to have a parent who loves her because her father died, and her mother has never loved her. John says that for what God took away he gave her, a cousin who loves her, and Antonio who is like an older brother to her.

 

He then adds that God brought Hector and Gina into her life, as well as the rest of their family. Aranza stops crying and says that she, is, glad for all of that, and she loves and respects Antonio but she would have loved to have her father around or to have a father figure. She says that she has no one to walk her down the aisle. She adds that Carlos never liked her because she was always a reminder of her father, and she was an heiress to the fortune, he and her mother eventually stole.

 

John tells her not to be sad. He tells her that life will eventually work itself out. He says that she is a smart young woman, and Antonio and Adrianna will help her out, in taking her rightful place, when the time comes. Aranza says that she knows that she sounds like an ungrateful brat, complaining when he has spent so much time sick and alone. John says that she is not being ungrateful; she is just speaking her truth. He then says that she has one more person in her corner. Aranza asks him who it is.

 

John says it is him. He says that she, Hector, and Gina are like the children he never had. He says he feels a strong bond with her especially because she had no father or father figure. Aranza hugs him. He then adds that he would love to walk her down the aisle, but that it should not be any time soon.

 

He adds that she should first focus on completing school and continuing her father's legacy. Aranza promises to work hard in school and make her father proud. John then adds that he will be watching her and her boyfriend and especially him because he wants her to be treated like the princess that she is, with respect. Aranza smiles and hugs him.

 

Meanwhile, Anna Patricia is at the park on a bench, lost in her thoughts. More often than not, they are of the twins' father, her handsome John Doe, her handsome Gabriel. Somebody walks over and sits near her. She turns and is dismayed to see that it is Carlos. Anna Patricia stands up, not ready to tolerate him. She tells him that she isn't interested in anything to do with him. He reminds her that any person that she dates had better watch out.

 

He says that she has been going out on too many of those supervised visits with Hector, Gina, their children, and John. Anna Patricia tells him that he is crazy for having her followed. She then adds that she is simply doing what is best to help John recover, not that it's any of his business. Carlos says that it better remain that way because she belongs to him and no one else. Anna Patricia stands up and leaves. Carlos is crazy and she won't give him any attention. She shivers as she walks away.

 

Sometime later, Aranza is carrying Hannibal in the lounge area of Horacio's house. He then comes and finds her. Aranza tells herself that this isn't going to be a pleasurable encounter. Horacio scathingly stares at her. Aranza plays it cool and continues playing with the baby. He comes and stands near her. He says that he doesn't trust her and has his eyes on her. Aranza asks him what he is talking about. Horacio tells Aranza not to play dumb. He says that he knows that she is there on Antonio's behalf.

He adds that she hasn't accepted the fact that Gina married him. Aranza tells him to stop being ridiculous. She admits that she does think that Gina, belongs, with Antonio, but she doesn't want to meddle in their issues or Hector and Adrianna's.

 

She says that she will let them solve their issues themselves. Horacio tells her that she must think he is stupid, by feeding him such a lie.

Aranza says that she doesn't care whether he believes her or not, because she knows herself. Horacio comes and grabs Aranza. He holds her roughly and warns her that he is dangerous, and he is closely watching her, so she should keep off Gina and him. Gina walks in on Horacio mishandling Aranza. She gets angry at him. She tells him, to never lay a finger on Aranza, under any circumstances.

 

Meanwhile, At Alejandro's house,

Adrianna is playing with her daughter when Alejandro comes into the room. He smiles at her and says that they make a nice family. Adrianna barely glances up at him. Alejandro then goes in front of her. He tells her that he loves her and that he will make her happy. Adrianna continues ignoring him.

 

Alejandro is irritated, he tells her that he is her husband and she must not forget her wifely duties. Adrianna says that she will fulfill her obligations, and adds that the things, he will never gain, even with threats and blackmail are her heart and her love. She then turns her attention back to her daughter. Alejandro is left feeling humiliated and embarrassed.

 

Back at Horacio's house,

Horacio tells Gina that anyone connected to Antonio isn't welcome in their house. Gina tells him, that regardless of the current situation, she will not sit back lamely as he threatens those she loves. Horacio tells her that she does not need to stay in touch with Aranza and that they should cut off links. Both ladies look at him like he is crazy. Gina says that Aranza is like a little sister to her.

 

She adds that Aranza will continue to remain in her and her son's life regardless of what happens with Antonio. Horacio says that the way she defends Aranza, one would think she is her sister. Gina is momentarily caught off guard but quickly recovers. Gina says that whatever he thinks isn't important but she won't allow him to mistreat Aranza.

 

A little while later,

Hector and Martin are at a club, having drinks, and talking. Martin asks Hector if he is worried about his sister. Hector asks him why. Martin says that with the threats, and given how they know Horacio is, he (Martin) was thinking about Gina's safety. Hector says that not really. He adds that Gina is a strong intelligent woman who can deal with Horacio, and who knows how to take care of herself. He then adds that he is there, too, and isn't going to tolerate anyone hurting his sister. Martin tells Hector that he too will be there to protect Gina.

 

Hector tells Martin that if he ever tells Gina what he said, about her being strong, capable, and intelligent he will deny everything. Martin shrugs. He tells Hector that he doesn't understand why he and his sister often have petty fights and competitions. Hector says that it is his sister's fault because she is so overly competitive and obsessed with outshining him and proving that she is better. Hector adds that he is just returning the favor and that his sister is a spoilt brat. Martin shakes his head in mild surprise.

 

Back at Horacio and Gina's house,

Aranza is in the guest room when Gina comes in to check on her. Aranza says she is fine, and thanks Gina for standing up for her. Gina says that it's no problem and that she would do it again. Aranza has on a surprised face, and Gina asks her what's going on. Aranza smiles and then says that she didn't think that she loved her. Gina is surprised and asks her why she would think that. Aranza says that she always had a feeling that she (Gina) was jealous of her because she was getting very close to Hector. Aranza continues and says that she knows and understands, that Hector and her share a bond that is stronger than what most people have and she doesn't want to interfere with that.

 

Gina holds Aranza's hand and admits that she was a little jealous, in the beginning, but she never once hated her and considers her a younger sister. Gina then adds that she (Aranza) needs a lot of people to watch her, because she is nosy and a schemer. Aranza scoffs and says that she isn't a baby. Aranza looks at Gina again and then twitches her eyebrows. Gina asks her if she is okay. Aranza says that she is okay. Gina looks at her suspiciously and asks her what she did. Aranza pouts and says that she is a good girl. Gina insists and Aranza says that she isn't talking because she would put Hector in trouble.

 

Gina now becomes very interested. What did her brother do? After some prodding, Aranza tells Gina that Hector said that she has the sense of humor of a lemon. Aranza then says that she doesn't agree. She then tells Gina that she is fun and interesting. Gina rolls her eyes. She tells Aranza not to mind. She says that even as children, Hector and Martin used to make fun of her, so she isn't the least bit bothered and has learnt how to deal with them. Aranza says that even if they still endlessly tease her, they still love her. Gina smiles and agrees.

 

Two years pass during which,

Adrianna, Gina, Isabella, and Marianna go back to work at the end of their maternity leaves. Carlos continues harassing Anna Patricia, while Helena is hell-bent on making her pay. Also, Horacio, Alejandro, Marianna, and Isabella continue making Aranza and Aurelio feel unwelcome, whenever they visit, as Gina, Adrianna, Hector and Antonio stand up for them.

Aranza and Aurelio finish university and graduate. Alejandro and Horacio intensify their monitoring of Adrianna and Gina, to keep them away from Hector and Antonio. John continues doing better and better, but sadly he does not regain his memory. His bond with Aranza also grows stronger.

 

One Saturday morning, Gina looks at her son, Hannibal. She is in his room. She cannot believe that it has been two years. Just then she hears a knock on the door. She tells herself that she hopes that it isn't Horacio. She tells the other person, to come in. She is pleasantly shocked to see her brother and runs into his arms and hugs him. He hugs her back.

 

Meanwhile, at Hector's house,

Marianna, is with her daughter in the living room, when there is a knock on the door. She goes and opens it. It is Alejandro. Without waiting for a response, Alejandro moves closer to her and kisses her. Marianna kisses him back.

 

Back at Horacio and Gina's house, Hector looks at his sister and smiles. He says that she must be bored if she misses him that much. Gina glares at her brother and pokes his arms. She then says that she feels tired and overwhelmed by everything that has been happening. Hector holds her hands and says that he understands her.

 

Gina says that she cannot wait for the day, all the secrets and lies can end, and they can reveal themselves and put an end to Isabella, Marianna, Alejandro, and Horacio's lies. Hector hugs her and says that he doesn't know when things will go back to normal, but in the meantime, they have to continue to be there for each other.

 

At Antonio's house, he is in the sitting room with his son when Isabella comes in and he ignores her. She says that they could be happy if only he would let her show him how much she loves him. Antonio tells her to stop feigning daftness. He says that she knows very well that his heart belongs to Gina. Isabella glares at Antonio and leaves the room.

EPISODE 87

Sometime later at the university,

Aranza's phone rings as she is on her way to class. It is Adrianna calling her. She frowns but picks it up. Adrianna asks her what time her classes are ending. Aranza asks her why she is asking. Adrianna tells her that she is being serious. Aranza rolls her eyes and then tells Adrianna when her classes are ending. Adrianna asks her to come to the mansion after. Aranza sighs melodramatically and then asks Adrianna what she is paranoid about this time. Adrianna says that she is only looking out for her interests. Aranza scoffs but promises to come to the mansion, later on.

A little bit later,

Clara calls Anna Patricia. She asks her if she knows what those crazy twins have done. Anna Patricia, says she does. Clara, says she wants, to talk to them both later on. Anna Patricia asks her if she wants to hold an emergency family meeting. Clara says she does. She says sometimes those twins come up with the craziest ideas.

Later, at night, at the Montes De Alba mansion,

Adrianna, Aranza, and Antonio are in Adrianna's room. Aranza tells Antonio that he should leave being melodramatic to Adrianna. Antonio says that they need to talk about her visiting John. Aranza pouts and says that she isn't a baby. Antonio tells her that she is acting like one. Aranza frowns. She then says that she loves the idea. She says that it's not like, she will be going every day. Adrianna says that it might be too much. Aranza says she likes the idea, of helping somebody, and anyway she is very energetic.

At Clara and Ramon's house,

Clara, Ramon, Anna Patricia, Martin, Armando, Luisa, Hector, and Gina are there. Clara looks at Hector and Gina and asks them what they were thinking. Gina looks at Hector. He says that he would like Aranza to have a relationship with their father, so that when he gets out, whenever that will be, things will be easier. Ramon asks them if they have thought of the danger of Aranza recognizing their father. Hector says that they have.

He then adds, that it has been nearly twenty years, and their father has changed a lot. He then adds that Aranza never met him. Gina adds that they also convinced him to change his appearance. Armando says that either way, they should be careful. He adds that Aranza might not remember him, but Antonio, Adrianna, Helena, and Carlos will. Hector says they have thought about that, and they are working on it.

Three days later, on Monday,

Adrianna and Gina separately go shopping for wedding gowns. They try on a number.

In the evening,

Hector and Aranza are at the mental hospital. She is curious and looking around. They have already talked to the doctor. Aranza asks him where John is. He tells her to be patient because they are almost there. They then arrive at his room. They knock and he opens. After they enter, Aranza looks at him shocked. He smiles and asks her if she is okay. She says she is fine.

She adds that something about him feels familiar. She then adds it's maybe because he smiles like Gina. Hector tells his father, that it will take time to get used to Aranza because she is a noisy chatterbox, who never keeps quiet. Aranza frowns at Hector then turns to face the man, she has no idea, is her father.

Meanwhile, Isabella calls Antonio, to nag him about marrying her. Seeing it is her, he initially ignores it. He then says that his son might be sick and picks it. Almost immediately he regrets it. Isabella launches into a tirade about him marrying her.

Sometime later at the mental hospital,

Aranza asks John if she is tiring him with all her questions. John tells her, she isn't. He tells her, that he doesn't know why, but he just knows, he was quite like her, when he was a teenager. Aranza says that people tell her that she is like her father, but she never met him, or her older brother and sister. John tells her that they are all watching out for her. Aranza can't explain why, but she feels so protected with him.

Back with Isabella and Antonio, he tells her that she will have a wedding. Isabella is happy. She tells him that she will make him happy. Antonio tells her that the wedding will be on his terms. Isabella asks him what he is talking about. Antonio, smiles, happy that Isabella cannot see him. He adds that his terms are simple. One, there will be no honeymoon, and two, the wedding will be done outdoors. Isabella frowns and says that they can have the reception at a chosen venue, but the wedding, should be in a church.

Antonio says that he won't disrespect the house of God, by holding that sham of a wedding in it. Isabella whines, but Antonio holds his ground. He tells her that she can take it or leave it. Isabella reluctantly accepts his condition. He tells her that she can now go and whine to his grandmother, and hangs up. Isabella says that at least she is marrying him.

Elsewhere, Hector comes back into the room. He asks his father if Aranza tired him out. She frowns at Hector and he smiles. John says that she is a very smart girl. Aranza smiles at Hector.

Sometime later, at Hector and Gina's house,

Gina has just finished changing the baby and has gone to the kitchen when she hears a knock on the door. She goes to open it, thinking her brother was home early, only to find that it is Horacio. She doesn't greet him nor offer him anything. She instead gets straight to the point and asks him why he is there. He says that there are some things they need to discuss before their wedding. Gina doesn't reply and instead waits for him to continue. He says that he is uncomfortable with two things, one is her visiting the sick old man, and the closeness she has with Hector.

He continues and says that she and her cousin have done enough for him. Gina smiles sweetly. She tells him that he is being paranoid. She adds that they (her and Hector) are simply helping somebody, who has lost years of his life sick. Gina adds that as for Hector he is more than family, he is her best friend, and that isn't negotiable. Horacio says that she has their son, and they will have other children, and all that will keep her busy, and so she won't need Hector. Gina tells him, that Hector, has always been there for, her, and that they will always need each other.

A little bit later, at Aurelio's house,

Aurelio is reading a newspaper when Aranza comes and stands in front of him. He looks at her and asks her what she did. Aranza pouts and says she didn't do anything. She says that she wanted, to be in the bridal lineups at both weddings. Aurelio looks, at her surprised. He asks her why she would want to get involved in such lies. Aranza shrugs and says that she wants to be there, for both Adrianna and Gina, to provide moral support. She then adds that it is an excuse to get dressed up. Aurelio smiles at her and says that he doesn't understand her at all.

Two weeks later, Adrianna marries Alejandro and Gina marries Horacio. They aren't on the same day, so Aranza manages to be the maid of honour in both. During this time Aranza and Aurelio do their final end-of-semester exams. Another two weeks pass during which Antonio and Isabella and Hector and Marianna get married.

Adrianna, Gina, Isabella, and Marianna's maternity leave is about to come to an end that week, and they, are to return to work the next week. Also, as they do every school holiday, Aurelio and Aranza, go to work at the company. Aurelio is of course, under Antonio's guidance, and Aranza will be under Adrianna's when she returned.

On Thursday, Gina's phone rings. She picks it up and sees it is Aranza. She, then answers the call. Aranza asks Gina if she can come to spend some time over, and Gina agrees.

Meanwhile, Aurelio calls Antonio, to ask if he can come over for a visit. Eager to not be alone with Isabella, Antonio readily agrees.

Sometime after John (Gabriel) calls Gina. She frowns a little and tells herself that he has a good way of reading her and judging her feelings. She then picks up his call. He asks her if she is fine. Gina says that she is hanging in there. John reminds her that he loves her like she was his daughter, and he wants her to be happy. He adds that he also knows that she isn't happy because she loves Antonio. Gina says that sometimes sacrifices have to be made. John asks her, what is so important, that she is sacrificing Antonio for, but that she won't tell him. Gina tells him not to worry because eventually, he will understand her actions.

Later Isabella gets angry at Antonio, when she finds out, that Aurelio is coming. Isabella says that she doesn't want him in her house, because he is on Gina's side. Antonio tells Isabella that she is crazy. Isabella, says that he is saying that because he is still in love with Gina. Antonio says that he still loves Gina but Aurelio isn't part of that. He adds that he wants to get closer to him and that whether she likes it or not, Aurelio is their son's uncle, and he wants him to be close to their son.

Isabella tells him that he is cruel because he admitted he loves Gina, to her face. Antonio shrugs nonchalantly and says that she knew his heart belonged to Gina, but still insisted on this farce, of a marriage, so she deserves everything that happens. He smiles then leaves. Isabella is left feeling embarrassed.

Later, Horacio finds out that Aranza is coming, and isn't happy. He tells Gina that she has no reason, to maintain any bonds or ties to Aranza because the only connection she had was through Antonio, and those have been permanently broken. Gina tells him, that while she might have met Aranza through Antonio, the bonds she has with her are separate, from her relationship with Antonio, and she loves her, separately. Gina then adds that she sees Aranza as a little sister. She tells herself that Aranza is her little sister and she will always be close to her.

Meanwhile at Alejandro's house,

Adrianna is in the dining room with her baby, still trying to digest, the sad reality of being married to Alejandro. She looks at her daughter and wipes away a tear. She then tells her that it is all for her.

Meanwhile, at Hector's house,

He is carrying his daughter and playing with her. He cannot help but think of Adrianna. His beautiful, sweet flower. Marianna comes in and he barely looks at her. She is irritated by it. She asks him if he still thinking of Adrianna. He ignores her attempt to bait him into a fight. She continues and tells him that, it is all pointless because Adrianna is married to Alejandro, and he (Hector) will never have her.

She adds that who knows, maybe right at that moment, they are making sweet love. Hector stands up and tells Marianna to at least have the courtesy to keep their daughter away from her bad heart and vicious tongue. He then, baby in tow, leaves Marianna alone. He does not have the strength to deal with her.
